Capital Compassion
To live as Jesus among the broken. Through word and deed, telling & teaching people about Jesus We have a wonderful history dating back to our beginning in 1916.
Our forefathers have paved the way for what we enjoy today and we must never forget the sacrifice that has preceded us. We now take up that mantle and carry it forward to fulfill our destiny. With a solid foundation under our feet, we embrace the vision of “TO LIVE AS JESUS AMONG THE BROKEN. THROUGH WORD AND DEED. TELLING PEOPLE ABOUT JESUS AND HOW TO FOLLOW HIM”. We will celebrate our history and renew our passion to fulfill a God-given vision for the future.
Pastor Rick will be speaking live at Trinity Life Center this Sunday at 10:15am. We would love to see our Capital Family in person this weekend if you can make it.

This summer is rapidly coming to a close. With school starting, it feels like a time of newness and refreshing. Yet, this summer has been a time of growth for us. We have had a significant impact in reaching more and more people on a daily basis. We are seeing numerous doors open that are truly remarkable. Watch full video for details.
“Praying for President Trump, our Country, and the families of attenders at the rally who suffered loss of life and serious injury. So important that we come together and unite in our common concern for God’s blessing for all people. There is so much we can do to fill the land with God’s presence when we serve others and love one another. The brokenness of our land is fertile soil for the love of Jesus to bring transformation through our words and deeds.” —Pastor Rick Cole
To keep it brief today, we are focusing on the 4th of July and on veterans who have given their lives to keep us free. We thank God for that and celebrate our nations freedom. Let's keep our faith in Jesus alive, because He's the one at work in us and He's going to do some above-and-beyond kinds of things.
We are hosting our next outreach to the unhoused community on Saturday, June 15, from 11am-2pm. We are throwing a BLOCK PARTY which will include mobile showers, free lunch for our guests, haircuts, sno cones and so much more. We have also partnered with Sacramento County to have practical resources available including the ability to sign up for Cal Fresh and Cash Aid. TruConnect is joining the party as well to qualify guests for free cell phones. You can participate through volunteering, donating clothing for this event, or donating financially to cover the cost of the block party! Our world is diverse, filled with people of different backgrounds, beliefs, and experiences. While this diversity is a source of strength, it can also lead to division and misunderstanding. Pastor Rick is uniting with LaMond Harrison and Friends of the Neighborhood for an evening of worship and inspiration.
Time: 6:30-8pm

We had the privilege of onboarding 10 new partners today! There are incredible leaders in our city working in churches, non-profits fighting homelessness, and organizations like World Relief helping refugees. What an honor to serve, resource, and dream up ways to better our neighborhoods. The best is yet to come!
We had such a great night with Friends of the Neighborhood in Oak Park. Worship got our heads and hearts focused and Pastor Rick shared a message from Micah 6:8:
•Act Justly, Love Mercy, Walk Humbly•
How do we Bridge the Divide? Showing empathy and compassion one person at a time. Thank you to all the family that came out. More details for future events coming soon.

Dr. Samuel Gordon is the keynote speaker this year! This event will take place at Trinity Life Center at 5:30pm, and will also be live streamed at www.mlksacramento.com.
Today was extra special! There is something so beautiful about getting to serve refugees during the holiday season. We have incredible partnerships and watching God orchestrate moments of connection, joy, and hope is indescribable. A little emotional today when we reflect on the goodness of God! Thank you for being part of what we do through your donations and serving.

We honor the life of Mary Ann Cole, former first lady of Capital Christian Center. She passed away on Thursday, November 9, at 12:21am surrounded by family and friends at the age of 90. Mary Ann was a great strength to her husband, Glen Cole. On special occasions he would sing the song “You are the wind beneath my wings.” You could tell he believed it about his companion in life. To know her was to love her. She was humble, loving, kind, encouraging, prayerful and servant hearted. She made this world, the city of Sacramento, and our church a better place.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, at 2pm in the Sanctuary of Capital Christian Center.
TURKEY DRIVE ALERT 🦃
$40 will provide a Thanksgiving meal for a family that includes a turkey. Our goal is to provide 150 dinners that will be passed out on Saturday, November 18, beginning at 10am from our Warehouse address. Can you help purchase a meal for a family? Celebrating over 100 Years of Impact in Sacramento
CCC History & Vision
We have a wonderful history dating back to our beginning in 1916. Our forefathers have paved the way for what we enjoy today and we must never forget the sacrifice that has preceded us. We now take up that mantle and carry it forward to fulfill our destiny. With a solid foundation under our feet, we embrace the vision of an unwavering commitment to GATHER, GROW, & GO. We will celebrate our history and renew our passion to fulfill a God-given vision for the future.
GATHER
We are committed GATHER together weekly to worship together and to study the truth of God’s Word. God’s Word is the compass for how we live our lives. We will gather to study how we know God’s Word to be the truth, how we can be assured we have eternal salvation, why water baptism is an important step to take, and the significance of observing Holy Communion. The foundation of our lives is secure because there is a definite truth to guide us.
