Last week CSP leaders met with Legislators at the State Capitol in Sacramento to support AB 2107 (Chen), CSP sponsored legislation that allows Pathologists to review digital data remotely under a primary location’s CLIA certificate. CA is the only state in the nation that doesn’t allow this practice.
CSP sponsored legislation, AB 2107, which seeks to bring California into conformity with federal law by allowing Pathologists to review digital clinical laboratory materials at a remote location, was approved 16-0 in its first committee hearing.
Thank you to CSP’s Advocacy and Practice Management Committee for their work shaping the bill language and gathering letters of support.
