The real estate market has been on an uptick which results in lots of documents landing in the Register of Deeds office for recording. Happy to report we have kept current under stay at home orders.

Coronavirus kept us home, igniting real estate frenzy in northern Michigan Prices are climbing and competition is fierce as traditionally slow areas of Michigan become real-estate hotspots. No longer geographically tied to their workplaces and enjoying low interest rates, buyers are sparking a ‘feeding frenzy’ in northern Michigan.

The Courthouse will remain closed through tomorrow. Please have a safe weekend and we will hopefully have things back up on Monday.

There is a power outage at the Courthouse. Please note that we will be closed until Consumers is able to restore power. Estimated time is after 4pm today.

The Register of Deeds office is closed today in observance of Memorial Day. Let’s remember and honor those who served our country.
