Today is the last day to order your salads for tomorrow's fundraiser. Place your order with Barb at the front desk. All donations will go to the Alzheimer's Associations.
National HIV/AIDS and Aging Awareness Day (NHAAD) is observed on September 18th each year. The day highlights the challenges and issues that older people with HIV face, including:
- HIV prevention, testing, treatment, and care
- HIV-related comorbidities, coinfections, and other complications
- The need for more research and data on the aging community
-T he need for a better understanding of the aging process and its effects on older people with HIV
- The need for safe and inclusive treatment and care spaces
- he need to advocate for the rights and dignity of older adults
We want to give a huge shout out to our community. So many local companies donated the most delicious baked goods for today’s sale to raise money for Alzheimer’s Association. 💜
September 8 -14th is Healthcare Environmental Services & Housekeeping Week. Environmental Services week is a time to recognize & show appreciation of the custodial team who keep our facility clean & safe for our residents, staff, families, & friends. Thank you for your hard work and dedication!

September’s employee of the month is Mariah Williams. She has worked at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre for 5 years. Her favorite part of her job is interacting with the residents. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her children and friends. She has 5 children Marquise (12), Marshey (7), Marcell (6), Kentis Jr.(5) and Kentrell (5). Some of her favorite activities besides being with her children are shopping and watching Law & Order (Special Victims Unit). She likes Christmas, the fall season, basketball and her favorite food is pizza.

Employee of the Month
Catherine “Cookie” Davis, Laundry Department
August’s employee of the month is Catherine Davis. She has worked at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre for 33 years. No that isn’t a typo she is one of our longest tenured employees. She has worked also as a nursing aide and also in housekeeping over the years. She shared the most favorite part of her job is interacting with the residents and her coworkers. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family. She has four children Catisha (46), Eric (43), Satarie (38) and Joi (40) and 6 grandchildren Arnajia (25), Ukyia (21), Tyrone (19), Deagelo (12), Maddison (5) Peyton (4) and a dog named Dubb. Some of her favorite activities are doing word searches and reading. She likes to watch horror movies and favorite food is fried chicken. She enjoys springtime and her favorite holiday is Christmas.
