Some information on successful Ear Piercings when your children are ready.

We have successfully pierced late 3-year old and up (but every child is different). we do have a separate booking for under 10 year olds.

Requirements for piercing minors in a studio :

We require to pierce in the State of Michigan anyone under 18 years of age :

- birth certificate from minor
- some form of photo ID from your child (passport, skyward profile, school ID, yearbook, child ID, church photo with name, ect)
- along with signing biological parent and their ID
If guardian or custodial adult (bring all court documentation: physical custody is what we require)

We offer a free consultation appointment to meet us, for some children this works the best as they can meet James and Katrina.

We also ask that you do not bring large groups in to watch the little ones get pierced, depending on the energy of the child we may only allow the signing parent in the room while being pierced, our main concern is your child’s safety, comfort and a positive piercing experience.

We also agree that if the child does not cooperate within the time frame of one hour and decides not to be pierced, uncoerced, a fee of $70 for the procedure fee hour will still be collected.

Happy one year anniversary to Holeybody at our new location! We had spent 29 years working out of Old Town Tattoo, but the time arrived to spread our wings and fly, giving Saginaw their first body piercing only studio.

It took a lot to get here, so much love was put into the building from friends and family to make this dream a reality, and I thank them every day I go to work. Thank you, Saginaw, for believing and supporting us over the last 30 years, here is to many more!!

Are you looking to get your little ones pierced at Holeybody? Here are some answers for a successful, positive experience for all.

Requirements for piercing minors in our studio :

We will not pierce infants, due to them not being able to say that this is what they want, also I personally feel that their ears are not developed, making it very difficult to predict where the center of their lobes will be.

Some concerns about knowing if this is the right time for piercing children and some things to avoid:
-Do not touch the piercings with dirty hands
-No wet hair at night
-Suggestively swimming and beaches (lake and rivers are not good for fresh wounds, also sand) presonal pools if balanced are not the worst, but i would make sure the fresh wound is healed moreso, if the pools have high chlorine content, always question cleanliness.
-Piercings should not be removed until they are fully healed (2-3 months with a normal healing)
-Sleeping on piercings could be an issue, instead prop the child head into and airline neck pillow, stuffed animal anything to the piercing is not being agitated while sleeping.
-some childrens sports, activities will not allow piercings, along with helmets. Make sure you research your child's lifestyle and activities for best success, knowing that covering with a bandaid is not the best option.

We also ask that you do not bring large groups in to watch the little ones get pierced or other small children: depending on the energy of the child we may only allow the signing parent into the room while being pierced, our main concern is your child’s safety, comfort and a positive piercing experience.
