September classes at Valley Church have been cancelled, but will be back in session in October. If you were registered for one of those classes, check your email (maybe spam or trash files if you didn't see it), or give us a call. We can get you in at Hemlock or next month at Valley Church.

We are currently on a semi-vacation until the next classes, which begin on Sept. 11th at Valley Church and Hemlock High. We will be in & out of the office until then, so if you need to sign up, or talk to us, call & leave a message, or send us an email at [email protected]. We may answer the phone if we are in, but are running around trying to get new cars ready for fall classes, hopefully in time for the September class. Who knew it could be so hard to find the ones we want in stock!

So sign up for September, and get first crack at a brand new car. (Please, don't CRACK the cars literally!) Watch for pictures once we get things done!

Still got a few segment 1 seats left for the summer. There's 4 in Merrill in July, 4 in August for Hemlock, and 1 in Saginaw for August. Cost is $340. There's still segment 2 seats available in all summer classes, $60.

Segment 1 will be going to $350 in September, so why not get it done now?

Segment 1 and 2 classes start tomorrow, April 10th, at Merrill High and Saginaw Valley Church. Seats are still available at all except Merrill segment 2. To register, call the office Monday at 989-791-4300 by 2:00 p.m. for segment 1, and 4:30 p.m. for Saginaw segment 2.

Welcome to driver ed 2023! We start segment 1 classes today at Hemlock High (5-7 p.m.) and at Valley Church (3:30-5:30 p.m.). There are still seats available, so if you are looking for a class, give us a call at 989-791-4300 to get signed up. Segment 1 fee is $340.

Segment 2 at Valley Church starts today at 5:30, and it starts tomorrow at Hemlock from 7-9. Seats also available at either. You MUST be preregistered for seg 2, so give us a call at 989-791-4300 to set that up. Seg 2 is $60.

Summer driver ed dates are now up on our webpage, studentdriverschool.com. Hemlock June segment 1 is already filled, but there are still seats in all other classes. Merrill is allowing outside students at this time.

We currently have 2 seats available for the May segment 1 classes, both in Hemlock and at Valley Church in Saginaw Twp, due to late drops. Class starts on May 5th at 3:15 at Hemlock High, and on May 9th at 3:30 at Valley Church. Fee of $320 is due first day of class.

Summer dates have now been set and approved, and we are accepting registrations for the classes. We hope to get them posted on our website as soon as possible. We are in Merrill in July, Hemlock in June and August, and at Valley Church each month. Keep in mind, our segment 1 classes are smaller now, because we only have Don and Sean to teach and do behind the wheel lessons. If we find another teacher to help with behind the wheel, we would be able to expand the classes.

At this time, we are unable to take on any adult driving lessons. Like every other business, we are shorthanded, and looking for another DE certified teacher, so that we can enlarge classes and add occasional adult lessons when time permits. If you or someone you know is a certified driver ed instructor looking to add a few hours monthly during the school year, and more in summer, please contact us at 989-791-4300.

Hemlock segments 1 and 2 start on Wednesday, January 5th. There are still 2 seats in segment 1, due to late drops, and seats are available in segment 2. Sorry for the delay, it's been a rough 3 months. We had a car crash (nobody hurt!), all the issues with finding a replacement and getting it ready to put into service, dealing with a new mandatory curriculum for '22 that required new equipment for the classrooms, downloads, and getting them to work. Our part timer, Dan, hasn't been able to help out since August, so Don & Sean have had to limit class sizes in order to get everyone's 6 hours done. On top of all that, our mascot Yorkie, Gracie, needed surgery (toe amputation) and I'm still carrying her around for now.

If there was ever a time to request peace on earth (or at least at home!), now would be good.

Starting in January, there will be a brand new driver ed curriculum, so things may look a little different than when your older kids or siblings took the class. Due to our rising costs to be able to present this curriculum, class prices will rise slightly starting with January sessions. Segment 1 will be $320, and segment 2 will be $60. Our apologies for this increase, but we had to do it to stay in business and follow state driver ed requirements. We hope your student enjoys the changes!

Schedules will be posted soon on our website for January through May, 2022. We are already taking registrations for January, as the only segment 1 with a couple seats left this year is Merrill High, and it is only open to Merrill students. There are still segment 2 seats yet for each location each month, as we can take larger classes for that. Call at 989-791-4300 to get emailed a registration form.

Next classes begin in September, so if you call, don't be surprised not to find anyone answering for a few days, as we take deep breaths and switch over to fall schedules. A couple of us are taking vacation time next week, and will return calls (until you fill up the voice mail!) when we get back. It's been a long exhausting summer for us, and it's time to de-stress.

September segment 1 classes are full, October still has a couple seats in Merrill for Merrill students, but Valley Church is full. November still has a few seats at Hemlock, but Valley Church is full. December classes have seats yet for Merrill & Valley Church. Dates and times are posted on our website, and I'll start working on winter/spring schedules when we get back.

Segment 2 classes that are posted are still available at all locations, monthly.

A small September segment 1 class is on the calendar for Hemlock students alone. There are 3 seats left, so get in touch right away if interested.

Driver ed is staying busier than ever. Currently, the only segment 1 classes with available seats are the Hemlock and Valley Church locations in August, August 2-19, 10-noon in both locations. Classes are full until then.

Hi everyone. Things have been crazy busy. We've never had a busier winter, and spring is hitting us just as hard. For people trying to get classes lined up, I haven't even had time to get summer classes up on the website yet. The state made many changes to how we do the office end of things, so I've been scrambling to change all of my class lists and databases to accommodate the new processes. Demands for classes haven't stopped since last summer.

Currently, we don't have a segment 1 seat available until July. In July, we'll have classes at Merrill High (only available to Merrill students) and at Valley Church in Saginaw Twp. In August, Valley Church and Hemlock High. We haven't got dates set for Hemlock yet, until their back to school schedule gets posted.
