On August 22nd, our Genesee Division EMTs Gavin, Jake, Amber, and Al achieved a significant milestone by graduating from their Paramedic Program! We are thrilled to announce that Gavin and Al have successfully passed their NREMT Paramedic exam and are now licensed Paramedics. Jake and Amber are scheduled to take the exam soon. This is a remarkable achievement, and we couldn't be prouder of their dedication and hard work. Congratulations to all of them on this well-deserved success!

Yesterday, our Lansing Division EMT Henry and Paramedic Kevin provided medical standby for the stadium on the opening day of Michigan State Football, and our Medical Director, Dr. Ramsey, stopped by to say hello! Go Green!

Our Genesee Division crews had a fantastic time providing medical standby services at this year's Genesee County Fair. While caring for patients, they also had the opportunity to interact with some adorable animals! A little time with these loving creatures made their long days at the fair worth it!

A little while ago, our Saginaw/Tuscola Division EMTs Angel and Brad completed a transfer to Sault Ste. Marie. Afterward, they managed to take a few photos before heading back to Saginaw. The Soo Locks are truly amazing!

Lansing hosted a valuable day of education and in-depth discussions for Women in Emergency Services, bringing together women from various Michigan-based EMS roles for collaborative learning and networking today. Women in Emergency Services

Congratulations to our Mason EMT Student Trainees who passed their EMT course last week! This group has given it their all, and it has shown! We are proud of each and every one of them. Their next step is taking the NREMT exam soon. Way to go, everyone!!!

Today, in our Genesee Division, EMT Gavin is training his younger brother, Boston, an EMT Student Trainee with MMR, alongside his partner. Both are excited about this opportunity, and we look forward to seeing Boston complete his training.

While doing the medical stand-by at the Genesee County Fair this week, our crews were out meeting the public and some furry friends! They were able to catch a photo of "Twiggy the Skiing Squirrel," and it is just awesome! There are a few other photos of Twiggy showing off his impressive skills.

In Manistee, our Northwest Division hosted a 'Stuff the Ambulance' event at Meijer, led by Paramedic Karley, to collect back-to-school supplies for local children. We are pleased to announce that the event was successful and would like to thank all contributors. Your donations are sincerely appreciated.

Our West Division EMTs, Shea and Alan, were providing medical standby at a concert. At the end of their shift, EMTs Kirk and Pat relieved them and continued the standby for the concert. Our teams had the opportunity to meet the band Powerman 5000 and the CEO of Rock the Vets, Chris Martin. All four of our crew members had a great time!

Last Thursday marked a milestone for our Northwest Division Paramedic Julie and EMT Jenna, a dynamic mom and daughter team, joined forces and make a difference together. ❤️

It was Extrication and MCI Drill day for our Mason EMT Academy students last week. Thank you to all of our Educators and road staff employees that attended this training! Our students graduate from their course this week! We can’t wait to see them shine!

Our Medical Director, Dr. Shaun Ramsey, worked Delta 2 in our Northwest Division - Traverse City - a few days ago! He was able to respond to calls with the crews while also enjoying the beautiful summer day! East Grand Traverse Bay is the incredible backdrop for this photo! Thank you, Dr. Ramsey, for all that you do for us!

Today is the last day to register for the WiES Michigan Chapter's August 27 conference. MAAS is taking registrations for this event. Five EMS CEUs will be provided, along with great networking and education!

This past week, our Communications Specialist Haley, Customer Service Representative Cruz, and Medcom supervisor Kris all celebrated their birthdays in our 911 Medical Dispatch Center (Medcom)! Cruz and Kris had an amazing special cake with their crew! K-Wall's Kitchen provided Haley and her crew with delicious subs and wraps! Happy Birthday, Kris, Cruz, and Haley!

Our West Division EMTs Maegan and Alec were at the Soaring Eagle Casino doing a medical stand-by at the Lynyrd Skynyrd concert a few days ago! They were able to snap this photo, which is perfect!

A couple of weeks ago, a few of our Genesee Division employees (Paramedic Barbara and EMTs Silas, Tayler, and Makayla) were out doing a medical stand-by at the Mud Girl Run in Mount Morris. Although this is not a stand-by performed by MMR, it is very nice to see that our employees are still out there providing a wonderful service for our communities!

Our Mason EMT Academy students and Instructor Thomas wanted to make sure that our Director of Education, Dan, knew he was not alone in his mustache journey! Dan arrived to help train the other day and found that all of the students and Thomas "grew" mustaches overnight! 🤣We love it!!!

Even though our MMR Golf team (Miranda, QA Manager - Abbey, HR Manager - Rob, Genesee Operations Manager - Nate, Finance Assistant Controller) did not win at the Covenant Red Carpet golf outing at Apple Mountain this past Friday, they had a great time! Proceeds from this event went to the Covenant Breast Health Center and Covenant Visiting Nurse Association.

Our Saginaw Division team members, EMT Micah and Paramedic Tom, had just wrapped up a long-distance transfer. On their way back to Saginaw, they made a pit stop at the local Krispy Kreme in Troy for a quick snack. We can't help but smile at their choice of headwear, but we're certain those treats were absolutely scrumptious!

Our EMTs Molly, Gideon, Patrick, and Kirk in our West Division enjoyed a quick, sweet treat the other day. We must admit, we're a little jealous! Looks delicious!

Our Paramedic Supervisor, Kelsey, and EMTs Bill and Jasmine from our Saginaw Division were out and about at the National Night Out event this past Tuesday evening! This event is fun for everyone and allows little ones to communicate with many first responders. We are grateful that we can attend this event every year!

Our Northwest Division EMT, Ryan, had been working long hours last week. His daughter, Braeleigh, was coming back from a month-long vacation and wanted to see her dad! So, that is precisely what she did! Ryan says it was "his best visitor!" ❤️

Our EMT Student Trainee, Megan, had just completed her clinical shift and picked up her boys, Shiloh and Everett. She was able to stop and show the boys the ambulance. They loved it! This photo captured a priceless moment!

Our EMT Molly and Paramedic Gabrielle, from our West Division, recently achieved a significant milestone by graduating from Physician Assistant School at Central Michigan University. They both have been committed to providing care to our community members and will continue to do so in an even more expanded role!
