The Holy Spirit: A Divine Mystery
Wednesdays, May 8, 15, 22, 10:00-11:30 am | Commons & Zoom
In the Gospel of John, Jesus promises his disciples and us, that the Holy Spirit will live among us and provide comfort and guidance. But who is this Spirit? Why havenât we, as Lutherans, spent more time learning about this advocate? Is the Spirit as present now as during the years of the early Christian Church? All are welcome to this three-part series of reflection and study. Questions or for the Zoom link, contact Pat Hendricks, [email protected] or 763-221-8149.

Learn âPrayer Yogaâ This Thursday!
We carry a lot of anxiety, and letting go is not easy! In Matthew 11:30, Jesus tells us his yoke is easy and his burden is light. Yoga is about yoking both mind and body. Prayer yoga, as Pastor Michelene Verlautz will teach us, is a practice of letting go and yoking with Christ.
Prayer yoga is for everyone! No yoga experience or flexibility is required, and no mats or equipment will be needed. This event is part of Nativity Mental Health Connectâs Restorative Practices Series.
Thursday, April 18, 6:30-7:30 pm | Room 218 and Zoom

This weekend Deacon Kyle reflected on God's healing spirit, sharing his own healing journey and inviting us to participate in the healing of creation during this Environment & Sustainability Outreach Month--and beyond.
"Why do I believe...that there's no one better than the Christian community to accept this opportunity to support the environment and people at every level through acts of healing? Because environmental health experts, as well as many others, see churches as anchors of the community where people gather to learn, grow, love, and make an impact in the world. I believe doing so opens us up to be conduits of Godâs healing spirit."

Nanilo is a duo of women singing traditional songs from Jewish and Eastern European roots, including Yiddish, Russian, Ladino, Hebrew and more. Sarah Larsson and Sarina Partridge showcase the way music has moved through generations of immigrants arriving to North America.
The duo finds a fusion between traditional sounds and an Americana sensibility, spinning out stories of love, longing, and liberation that are carried in the lyrics of their rich traditions. Nanilo loves to invite audiences to participate, using music to open the door to stories of cultural change and migration.
ASL interpretation is available for this event, and refreshments will follow the performance.

Our 11:45 am Maundy Thursday worship is now available on our YouTube channel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y8vnAuzGMLE
Today is Maundy Thursday. Tonight we remember Christâs last meal with his disciples, but the central focus is his commandment that we love one another as Christ loves us.
âOn the night when Jesus was betrayed he took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, âThis is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.â In the same way he took the cup also, after supper, saying, âThis cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.â For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lordâs death until he comesâ (1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
Just a reminder we WILL NOT have a midweek meal this week because of our Holy Week schedule.
Weâll resume Wednesday community dinners next week with Sloppy Joes.
Stay safe and warm, everyone!
