Do ye thirst for adventure and riches? Before you set sail on the high seas, a visit to The Pirate Store is in order. Corsets, tricorns, waistcoasts, and britches: all the garb a good pirate needs under one roof. Arm yourself with a flintlock, lest a rogue double-cross you, and don't forget a leather satchel to lug your precious b***y. If it's a pirate's life for you, welcome matey.
A wonderful event for the children at the Crabshack in Tybee Island!! A big Huzzah to all the hard work and dedication that goes into this event on its 37th year!!! Thank you Marine Rescue Squad!!

Those of us in the Pirate Community here in Florida and elsewhere are lucky to have so many crews, groups and individuals that do so much for so many in need. Now one such group needs our help.
Last night, a freak storm came out of nowhere and without warning while an event was happening at the Saint Johns County Fairgrounds. Huge downpours, lightning, and damaging wind caused an incredible amount of damage, but effected one group more than any other.
If you've been to any event in the southeast, especially those to benefit others, then no doubt you've seen a performance from the Ancient City Sirens. Over the years they've done so much to help so many, and now we need to step up and help them in their hour of need. They lost everything, and by everything, I mean in excess of $3500 in equipment, including their tents, electronics, music, props, and a whole lot more. Many of the fine women of this troupe rely on what little income they make from their performances to get by on a daily basis.
I ask each of you, whether we're friends in real life, on Facebook, or have never met, to open your hearts and your wallets and give what you can so that this group of women can get back up and running as soon as possible. I especially ask that each of the pirate crews in Saint Augustine help our sisters.
Whether it's $1 or $1000, it all adds up, so please give what you can. I'm begging you to write a check and send it to Gina Marie payable to the Ancient City Sirens, 116 Catherine Towers Lane, Saint Augustine FL, 32092. There are other options to donate, including Zelle, using [email protected] or PayPal, using [email protected]. If you have any questions, please contact Gina directly. She is dealing with a lot right now and I'm sure is overwhelmed, so please be patient.
With upcoming events already on their schedule, help them get back on their feet so they don't have to cancel and disappoint anyone. I don't think I ask for much from the Pirate Community, but this is very important not only to me, but to them and everyone in the Pirate Community. We are a family, and we take care of each other.
Enjoy all the entertainment and piratical fun and get a signed copy of The Pirate Who Learned to Love from Kidd Carson at Penumbra tomorrow only.

Today I have the pleasure of interviewing one of my favorite captains and a good friend. One whom I've shared the stage with on occasion during one of their spectacular murder mystery fundraisers! I introduce you to Tim Brinegar AKA captain Alan Scabbard!! Huzzzah!!!
When Tim isn't running around busy with his business... he and his wife Cayti are helping out in the community and helping with something near and dear to their hearts.. foster children care and placement! Both of them along with their entire krewe spend countless hours working hard to raise money, clothing , and anything else to help make a foster child's transition more comfortable!! Tim and Cayti foster 3 children as well as their own
children. Getting a chance to spend time with these two amazing people really humbles a person, just trying to keep up with their energy and commitment to their community!!
Here is the mission statement for the Seawolf Privateers a 501 charitable krewe that Tim and Cayti founded . It pretty much sums it all up!! I am looking forward to spending an evening with these two incredible people and watch them perform with their krewe...always a fun night of laughter and revelry!! Seawolf Privateers, Inc is a local non-profit 501c3 organization that raises money to help foster and displaced children in a variety of situations including providing events and social activities. We are a group of local residents who enjoy dressing in pirate garb, creating an environment for the children where they feel safe and unafraid, but also cherished and part of something bigger. We are known for our signature murder mystery fundraisers as well as our participation in many county festivals bringing smiles to the children in our area as well as spreading awareness of our organization and further promoting our cause.
I want to thank Tim for taking time out of his busy schedule to talk about the amazing things they're doing in the community. Huzzzahhhh!!

Congratulations Lee !! Welcome aboard!!
Yesterday we had the pleasure of announcing our second inductee into the Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2023. It's highly unusual when we have the opportunity to surprise anyone in person with such an announcement, as this notification is normally handled by our office. This was not the case with Lee as he was told in person by three of his fellow Hall of Fame inductees, Kevin McNally (2021), Keith Carson (2021), and Martin Klebba (2022).
