GearJammer Racing's Mitch Lelito turned a lot of heads last fall at Holley's Moparty event in Bowling Green, KY. Mitch competed in autocross and drag racing competitions over several days and ended up being awarded the organizer's choice award. Mitch has been competing in this bad mopar since the mid 70s and has no plans of stopping anytime soon.

It was a tough weekend for Gearjammer Racing. The 67 Barracuda driven by Brian Garcia had a strong showing at Road America before suffering a valvetrain failure and retiring. The 70 Challenger T/A of Mitch Lelito and the 71 Duster of Ryan Sandberg meanwhile were doing battle in Bowling Green, KY at the Holley Moparty event. They performed very well - in particular on the autocross course before the Challenger was sidelined with a spring issue. The Duster was the last of the three standing before a shifter issue cut its event short too. That's what happens when you do what these cars were meant to do - race. If they were meant to be perfect they'd be sitting under a cover somewhere but that's not what ma mopar built them for... ;) We'll get 'em next year fellas!

Gearjammers at Road America

The GJR Cuda scored a hard-fought win at Blackhawk Farms this past weekend. It was great to be back at the track with family and friends. Thanks Bill Garcia for the photos.
