St. Cloud, Meire Grove Band International Trip Wrapping Up The Meire Grove Community Band and St. Cloud Municipal Band’s international trip is ending.

Am kommenden Wochenende besuchen Mitglieder der Meire Grove und der St. Cloud Band im Rahmen ihrer Deutschlandreise die Gemeinde Holdorf. Die Gründungsväter des Ortes Meire Grove im amerikanischen Minnesota stammen aus Holdorf.

Neben einer Begrüßung auf dem Rathausplatz findet auch ein Probenvormittag statt, bei dem die Meire Grove Band, die St. Cloud Band und unser Musikverein gemeinsam musizieren und sich gemeinsam auf das Konzert auf dem Rathausplatz vorbereiten. Neben Einzelstücken werden wir auch einige gemeinsame Stücke zusammen spielen. 

Das Konzert findet für alle auf dem Rathausplatz der Gemeinde Holdorf am Samstag, dem 22. Juni ab 14:30 Uhr statt.

St. Cloud, Meier Grove Bands Participate in Firefighters Parade The St. Cloud Municipal Band and Meier Grove Band’s trip to Germany and the Czech Republic is moving along.

Two Area Bands Set To Embark On International Good Will Trip Two community bands are set to embark on a goodwill trip on Thursday. The St. Cloud the Meire Grove Community Band have teamed up for a trip to Germany.

St. Cloud Municipal Band Conductor Andrew Nelson also directs the bands at Milaca High School. This summer the Marching Wolves will perform at parades around Central Minnesota. Here's the schedule. Check them out.

Supporters hope to save St. Cloud State University’s music department from budget cuts The potential loss of the music program at St. Cloud State has prompted a groundswell of support. An online petition had collected more than 3,100 signatures as of Sunday.

St. Cloud Municipal Band invited area high school band directors to nominate their top students to join us for a concert. These students, called Band Ambassadors, played with the band at its Paramount Theater concert. The students rehearsed with the band before performing on May 6. The band plans to continue the Ambassadors program that aims to emphasize that music is a life-long experience that doesn’t need to end with high school graduation.

St. Cloud Municipal Band is raising cheer and funds for senior center courtyard The holiday concert offers people the chance to visit with Santa, drink hot chocolate and support the Whitney Senior Center.

Join the St. Cloud Municipal Band for the first of four free summer concerts, 7 p.m., Thursday, July 13, at Barden Park, 720 Fifth Ave.S., St. Cloud, MN. Then return for concerts at 7 p.m. on July 27, Aug. 3 and Aug. 17 at Barden Park.

Join the St. Cloud Municipal Band Mon, Nov 7th for their fall concert, “Autumn Winds,” as they celebrate the change of seasons. Get your toes tapping and hands clapping as the band plays familiar marches, showtunes and concert music celebrating the end of Summer, the beauty of Fall and the start of the beginning of the holiday season. The band has been part of St. Cloud since the late 1800s and is a full concert band made up of local musicians that play concerts year round in the St. Cloud area.
