St. Cloud Park & Recreation is excited to introduce sensory kit backpacks for checkout to children ages 3+ and adults, available at Whitney Recreation Center and during department-sponsored events!

These kits, which include noise-canceling headphones, fidgets, and calming exercises, are designed to support individuals with sensory sensitivities. Our goal is to create a more inclusive and accessible environment, helping reduce sensory overload and providing tools for mental wellness so that all participants feel comfortable and can fully enjoy recreational activities.

Kits are free and available on a first-come, first-served basis; simply visit the Whitney Recreation Center Front Desk or the Park & Recreation tent at a department-sponsored event to check one out. You will be asked to provide your name, phone number, and a form of ID as a temporary hold while using the kit.
