We would like to extend heartfelt condolences to the H. Dee Hutzley family for their loss. Dee passed peacefully in his home on June 17 with his wife of 74 and a half years by his side.

Dee was loved by many. He was an original organizer of the Ben Lomond Bank, which later became our Bank of Utah Ben Lomond Branch. Dee then served for 50 years on the Board of Directors for Bank of Utah.

Thank you, Dee, for your generosity, enduring kindness and your amazing legacy. You will be missed by all.

Our May Employee Spotlight is Michelle Spencer, customer service representative at our Providence Branch!
Michelle just celebrated her 1-year anniversary at the bank. Two years ago, Michelle, her husband, their kids and their poodle Ruby moved back to Utah where they originally both completed their undergraduate degrees at Utah State University.

Michelle earned a degree in finance and has always been passionate about helping first-time home buyers and continuing education. She served as an HOA president in Colorado for 10 years and is on her current neighborhood board.

When she isn't working or serving the community, Michelle loves photography, hiking, reading, baking bread and growing unique vegetables like Cherokee Purple Tomatoes.

Thank you for being our spotlight today, Michelle. We're so happy you are a part of our bank family.

Meet our April Employee Spotlight: Shawn Bigbie!
Shawn has been at our Sandy Branch for 1.5 years as a Customer Service Rep. He grew up in South Jordan and has the cutest Siberian Husky named Violett. Not a huge fan of the winter, his favorite thing about Utah is the mountains and forests for exploring and hiking.

Shawn enjoys a wide variety of activities including web development, design, photography, hiking, camping, and drag racing his red Camaro! When he isn't working for the bank, and learning all he can about finance, he runs a small LLC with a few friends and contractors doing web design and marketing.

Thank you, Shawn, for your dedication and diligence in all that you do. We are very grateful to have you here at the bank.
