Meet TTM’s newest insurance agent, Blake Morgan!

I grew up in St. Joseph, MO and graduated from Central High School in 2009. After high school, I attended The University of Missouri – Columbia and graduated with a BA in Biological Sciences. Upon completion of my bachelor’s degree, I went on to study at Kansas City Kansas Community College and graduated with an AAS in Mortuary Science. Prior to entering the insurance industry, I worked as a Funeral Director and Embalmer. My wife Hannah and I met in 2015, were married in 2018, and welcomed our daughter Endsley to the world in 2022. We moved back to St. Joseph in 2022 and treasure the time we are now able to spend with our family and friends. We also have two dogs, Scooter the Boston Terrier and Maya the Siberian Husky.

In my free time I enjoy participating in church events, watching my daughter at gymnastics, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, spending time on the water (pool, lake, or otherwise), keeping up with current events, and spending time with my family and friends. I have been known to dabble in chess even though I am not very good.

I started working in the insurance industry in May of 2024, but have been around insurance my entire life. I am the third generation of my family to work for Tilton, Thomas, and Morgan. My parents are the current owners of the agency, and my wife works for the agency as well.

My favorite part of insurance is learning about other businesses and seeing the passion others have for their chosen line of work. The people at TTM are knowledgeable, laser-focused and have decades of experience. I am so lucky to learn from this extraordinary team. I look forward to meeting new people, learning their stories, and protecting their business for years to come!

Meet April W**d, our newest Client Service Representative!

I graduated from Missouri Western State University with a business degree in 2021. I’ve always enjoyed the behind-the-scenes dynamic of the business industry, so getting into the commercial insurance world was a welcomed opportunity for me. I joined the Tilton, Thomas & Morgan team as a Client Service Representative in November 2023. One of my favorite things about the industry is learning about the local businesses in the community and meeting the hard-working faces behind them.

Tilton, Thomas & Morgan is a great place to work because of the people on our team! They have been very welcoming and helped me learn so much in my new position. I would love to stay long-term to continue building relationships with our clients and helping to meet their needs through every step of the insurance process.

With our first winter snowstorm potentially headed our way this weekend, now is the perfect time to prepare an emergency preparedness kit for your vehicle for if you must travel. It is always safest to stay home during winter weather when possible. ❄️🌧🚗

Step 1: Get a plastic tote, box or bag to assemble your supplies. 📦

Step 2: Gather supplies: flashlight, jumper cables, road flares/triangle reflectors, 2 quarts of motor oil, a gallon of coolant, first aid kit, blankets, tool kit, pocket knife, tire pressure gauge, bottled water, ice scraper, spare tire & jack, granola/energy bars, extra socks/gloves/hats/boots, duct tape, pen & paper, cell phone charger, fire extinguisher, cat litter/rock salt, and reflective vest. 🧦🧤🦺🧯

Step 3: Pack your emergency kit and put it in your vehicle. (Arguably the most important step!)

It’s better to be safe than sorry—don’t leave the house to travel in bad weather if possible. If you must travel, make sure you are prepared with your emergency kit in the car in case a situation would arise that you need it.
