🪐 ANNOUNCEMENT 🪐 With oodles of holiday markets and christmas-centered happenings popping up, I REALLY wanted to try something different this year to embrace the spirit of the season. So what will we be doing? We will be celebrating the ancient feast-day, “Saturnalia”!

Never heard of it? Totally cool—neither had I until I stumbled on it on a wikipedia deepdive last year by accident. It first caught my eye because Saturnalia falls on my birthday (12/17 — shout out to my fellow Sagittarians!), and it honors the things worth loving about the festive season like togetherness, generosity, and savoring creature comforts which served as ripe inspiration for this latest concept!

So, what is Saturnalia, exactly?

Saturnalia is an ancient festival honoring the God, Saturn. Saturn is said to be the God of time, and keeper of rules and divine order. Saturnalia becomes a time where we allow ourselves to break free of earthly limitations, revel in the nectar of our humanness, and celebrate our individual contributions that make up the kaleidoscopic tapestry of collective existence.

Because of when the holiday occurred — near the winter solstice — Saturnalia celebrations are the source of many traditions we now associate with the holiday season such as gathering with loved ones, frivolity, merriment and gift-giving.

Each Saturnalia Saturday we will feature:

- A unique pair of local makers showcasing a shoppable spread of giftable items
- A rotation of special offerings in the Liminal Lounge (like $25 Tarot and a DIY Tea Blending Bar)
- Complimentary 2024 Saturn Forecast prepared by (Olivia is offering 1:1 Private Saturn readings on 12/17–DM her to book yours!)
- Limited Edition Saturnalia Gift Bundles curated by the makers participating in the sale, and myself!
- And more fun & frivolous surprises ++
