Calling all readers 0 -120 years old! Today, Babycake's Book Stack is parked at 642 Selby Avenue, St. Paul, MN 55104 from 1-5 pm. There is plenty of free parking, and the weather is perfect!

Monthly, Black owned bookstores from around the nation collate data for top selling titles to share them with you, the readers! This information also highlights the authors who work so hard to share their books and spotlights the collective work that the Black Bookstore Coalition is doing.

I met many of our neighbors this week during the June Rondo Reads! Residency. Thank you to everyone for braving the rain to come visit the bookstore and for sharing the social media posts! We will see you all again for the second week of the residency July 16th- 20th.

In New Orleans, I had the honor of meeting Renée Watson, author of this beautiful book celebrating summer, childhood, and the wonders of summer!

is a dynamic speaker, cares deeply about her readers and we are proud to carry her books at Babycake's Book Stack!

Honestly, friends, rainy days can be really hard for small businesses, especially a mobile bookstore like Babycake's Book Stack! Now imagine a rainy week?!

Day 2 of the Rondo Reads! Residency is off to an excellent start! Rondo Reads! Residency

We are pleased to start the first week of our three week residency in the Rondo Community of St. Paul. The residency is one week each in June, July and August and is in conjunction with Rondo Community Land Trust and Mississippi Market, who will provide tasty and healthy treats on Saturday June 22nd, July 20th & August 24th.

We are conveniently parked next to Mississippi Market on Selby and Dale in the lot next to E & J Cleaners at 642 Selby Ave.

We will see you in Rondo, because Rondo Reads!

Story time at 11 am!

Tomorrow, June 8, bring you kids to the Mill City Farmers Market! Power of Produce (PoP) will be available for kids to sample a seasonal vegetable and receive a $2 token to spend on fresh produce at the Market. There will also be a fantastic book mobile, Babycake's Book Stack, for the kids to explore. 8a-1p 😎

Other things to look forward to:

- Peony and baptisia flower bouquets, the last of the plant seedlings
