It's that time of year, roofing season! And, it wouldn't be right if our first roof of the season wasn't full of twists and surprises hiding under the shingles. This roof had two layers of persnickety old 3-tab, and the deck boards were shot. Not too mention, the chimney was ready to go. Fortunately, we had already collaborated with the homeowner should any of these surprises arise. Although, it was a bit more money to complete the project, they were prepared for the possibilities. Gutter Covers!! Are you looking to add a gutter cover to ward off those pesky spring seeds? We recommend only two types: 1) perforated gutter guards and 2) Gutter Helmet. Anything else is a mess. It'll cause more work than going without. Getting gutter covers is a 2-fer; we'll clean out your gutters and add coverage. A great way to start your spring cleaning. Give us a shout. EPDM rubber roof is leaking along the house. The roof was improperly flashed leaving it susceptible to leaking and thus water damage inside the home. We are going to add a new rubber piece all along the edge adjacent to the vertical exterior wall, remove the vinyl siding and run the EPDM up the wall with a proper flashing cap. The siding will get re-applied once removed.
