About the Artist
I am primarily a visual artist. I have been expressing myself through painting since I was young. My passion was ignited by taking every art class possible in grade school and my love of art continued forward as I attended The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. I graduated with a major in Visual Communications and a deeper understanding of what kind of artist I truly would like to become.
When asked what is your process:
The best way to describe my process is equal parts personal passion and inspiration while allowing the art to speak for itself.
I often find myself starting with a blank space and something I cannot understand. This uninhibited approach allows the intentions of mine and the art to form on its own. My creative voice is a compromise of the medium I choose and the unconscious emotion that is expressed on canvas. I merely consider myself the vessel that allows the art to come to life.
I derive incredible satisfaction from others describing and observing my work. The following conversations allow me to discover something new about my work through their lens of understanding and interpretation. Abstract art allows everyone to experience the work in their own way. Appreciation breeds inspiration and inspiration breeds creativity. My art is a collective, unique understanding with no bounds.
