Acrylic works are done on paper, wood panels or canvas. Most of these are for sale.
I am quite excited about these two 36x36” paintings which are still works in progress.
Working on my large panels, I am finding myself making big . The first three pictures are of my fourth pass, me covering it up with a roller, and then on the sixth path, finding a better design. On the second 36 x 36“ panel, I loved the fourth pass, and was reluctant to change it. I know, however, bid changes and small changes really help with history and . I’m not sure where this one is going to end up, but I think the changes are helpful. The sixth painting is the first pass on five 12 x 12“ panels, which I am working on in tandem with my larger works. I’m excited to know where those small ones are going to end up. ,
I love mixing paint on my pallet so I can cover my panels with layers and layers of paint! and complete my paintings. The first painting is 30x30” and the second is 12x12”.

These paintings were done to the music of while I danced and sang along (off-key). . Do you think they are complete? Do they work as a series? . They are and on birchwood panels. See my previous posts for reels of these works in progress. I always have to decide if I am finished with each panel, and I think some are farther along than others. Do you have a favorite?
I am getting really excited about the Art of Your Life Free Workshop on March 4th. I spent a few hours this morning making Gelli Prints to use as collage elements. Before I discovered Art2Life, I didn’t realize how much farther my art would progress just using collage elements. And now I love making my own mono prints. at the L A Art Fair. I just loved the big beautiful faces Marco creates. He’s spent time explaining his process to , Tom, and me today. There was a lt of good art, a fair bit of mediocre art, but this was the most fun booth I went to!
I work in . These five are works on paper which I think are almost done, but I may do one final pass. I am loving the and . , , , ,

Believe it or not, these three pieces are being done in a series, using linen paper with paint, applied with , and . This is just the first pass on each sheet, in call and response to the wooden blocks I am working on at the same time. .
I bought several pieces of MCM furniture here, and they are refinishing a few pieces I brought to California with me. In addition, they have two of my 30x30” paintings for sale, along with their resident artist, Avery’s beautiful works()

Day 1 and 3 of my #3-D art. I have lots of ideas about where to go with these. I will keep you updated. What do YOU think I should do with them?
Today I went to my studio after spending a full hour watching the most glorious sunrise I have ever seen. I am living in , and I wanted to translate some of this to canvas. This piece started out with collage and acrylic paints, but it was too , so I decided to it. The first picture is the completed painting, and the second is where I had left it yesterday. .
Today was the first time I’ve been in my studio for more than an hour at a time in ages. I was able to finish the painting, “The Flutter,” that I started last week while my sister visited. I see both butterflies and birds soaring over the ocean. We had a side trip to which inspired this work. I love all the new sights near my home, and I am painting with a now. DM me if you are interested in purchasing this 18x14” original or a print. The 2nd photo was where I started today, and the first is where I ended up.
to be living in paradise! I have everything in the world that I want and need, plus I get these spectacular and views every day. They are an inspiration for my art. I have to thank .benton.56 and for encouraging me to move out here. ❤️💗💕
Sometimes you need to take an old painting that doesn’t really work and paint over it. This 16x20” canvas started out as a dark painting, but now is light and lacey. This is for sale and available for shipping. I think I am going to do a series of these. The last two are my morning sketches. It’s such a pleasure to get up and paint every morning. I am grateful for my new home and my new studio. -art
I know that this year has been very difficult for many people, and I am concerned about the state of the world. However, on a personal level, 2023 has been very good to me. I am adjusting to a whole new way of life and I wake up every morning with a smile on my face.
Counting Down to New Year’s Eve
Today when I was in my studio, I took old paintings that I didn’t like or that weren’t finished, and I used masking tape to cover parts of them. I cut out some shapes in the tape with an exacto blade, then painted over the whole panel. After the paint dried, I pulled up the tape to discover these dancers!
After a break, I am back to doing my morning sketch routine. These are six post card sized acrylic paintings done in half an hour. I can happy to have my studio set up in my new house.
Three 16x24” works in progress on canvas paper. I have been setting up my studio since getting new flooring, but today I just had to paint!!
Today I went into my studio with a fresh eye. I pulled out a large canvas that I wasn’t particularly pleased with, and decided to amend it, and here it is on the left swipe to see the original , ,
The next iteration of my last painting. I think it might be done. What do you think? I feel like I am settling in a bit, but this move has involved a lot of adulting. My new flooring has arrived and will be installed next Wednesday. After that I can really set up my studio and feel like I am fully moved in.
I have had a hard time finding time to be in my studio and I can find a million excuses not to paint, but it always feels good to get in here! I am getting used to a new environment and have been exploring, so that’s what I did on this canvas. I spent half an hour just having fun, exploring what would happen if I threw some white paint on. At the end, a little turquoise. I asked what would happen if I used a brush handle to make marks. It is a start. There were interruptions (sick dog) and Santa Ana winds blowing planted pits over. Tomorrow I will come back and check out the values and make some darker darks. ,
I am back in my studio and have been at it this afternoon. It feels so good to just make art.
For those of you who are wondering, my moving van arrived yesterday and I spent the day unpacking. I slept in my new home for the first time last night and it was delightful. This is the view out my bedroom window. People were complaining that the 54° morning low was like winter. I thought it felt great and now it’s 82°. I feel like I have moved to paradise.
