It's An Honorable Life Audition Form It's An Honorable Life Audition Form for Historic Mounds Theatre
The Historic Mounds Theatre is holding auditions for its annual Star Trek Fan Production of “It’s An Honorable Life”.
“It’s an Honorable Life” is performed in both Klingon and English, with English supertitles provided so those not fluent in Klingon can easily follow along. The show is suitable for a wide range of audiences but includes simulated violence, including between performers of all genders. Klingon language experience is preferred but not required. However, you must be prepared to learn Klingon throughout the rehearsal process!
To ensure the smooth running of the auditions, we ask you to please fill out and submit our online audition form, and schedule your audition appointment at least two hours prior to the start of auditions. You will be asked to upload a recent photo of yourself (portrait-style preferred, but a formal headshot is not required), a theatrical résumé if you have one, and to mark your conflicts during the rehearsal period.
The Historic Mounds Theatre is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion. We strongly encourage people with disabilities and members of the BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities to audition. Nonbinary actors will be considered for any roles.

Preparation
Please prepare an audition monologue of no more than two minutes in English. If you have Klingon language experience you are welcome to prepare an additional monologue in Klingon of no more than 30 seconds.
If you are requested for a callback, sides and instructions will be sent to you in advance.
Production Schedule
Rehearsals will begin the week of October 7th. They will run Monday – Thursday evenings from 7-10pm.
Tech and Dress Rehearsals
Dry tech will begin before Thanksgiving and full tech rehearsals will begin Saturday November 23rd and run through December 5th.

How To Kill A Horse! is a pitch-black, one-man musical comedy about the true history of the weirdest, nastiest, horse-killingest case of fraud in American history!
Shows are on August 9th at 6:00pm and 8:00pm. Tickets are $15, with a select number of pay what you can tickets available at the door.
CONTENT WARNING:
This is a true story which involves violence including violence against the elderly and children, sexual assault, foul language, manipulation, drug use, an image of a dead horse, and a whole bunch of horses getting killed.

The Historic Mounds Theatre is aware of a production taking place at the Phoenix Theater this coming December that involves former cast and crew of "It’s an Honorable Life." While we wish them the best with their production, we want to make it clear that The Historic Mounds Theatre is in no way associated with this show. Qapla'!
Tomorrow night! Presale tickets are sold out, but we will have some overflow seats and standing room only tickets available at the door, first come first served. Get there when the doors open at 7!
Hudson Road, right in front of the theatre, is closed for construction for a couple of months. Earl Street, at the end of the block, including the bridge is now open! If you are driving to events or rehearsals at the Mounds please park on Earl, Cypress (the other end of the block), or Wakefield (the next parallel block north.) There is no parking or entrance in the alley!
Klingon recruitment season has officially begun!
DO NOT BE FOOLED BY GOOGLE! There is construction on Hudson St in front of the Mounds. Do not drive into the alley looking for parking, there is none to be had.
Plan some extra time to arrive for Divas & Drag this weekend. All sidewalks are currently open. Consider parking on Earl, Cypress, or before passing the 'Local Traffic Only' sign on Hudson and walking a little further.
