This digital art print titled, "Was A Sunny Day," recently sold at Uptown Gallery in Franklin, NC, where I am a participating member and exhibit work. The image is one of 12 and a collaboration with my husband, Michael. The series was created from photographs taken while on our nature walks in the North Georgia mountains between Sky Vally, GA and Highlands, NC.

Excited to have two of my new paintings exhibited at Sunday In The Arts on April 28 at Kress Contemporary hosted by Tempus Projects, 1624 E. 7th Ave., in the vibrant art community of Ybor City, Tampa.

Sunday in The Arts is an annual fundraiser hosted by Las Damas de Arte. This exhibition of artwork by all female artists includes 2-dimensional visual art as well as wearable art. Proceeds are used for grants and scholarships to Hillsborough County arts projects and universities. The evening includes wine, food, musical entertainment and a silent auction.

There will be a patrons’ champagne preview and sale at 2:30 pm prior to the opening at 3:00 pm. Patrons: $125, Advance Tickets: $60, At the door: $75. Tickets may be purchased by sending your check by April 22 to LDDA, P. O. Box 10903, Tampa, 33679.

As an artist, 'Flow: The Psychology of Optimal Experience' by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi provides valuable insights into the nuanced aspects of the creative process. My painting titled, Winter in St. Pete, at the Gateway Art Gallery - Art League of North FL Winter Art Show through Jan. 31. Great exhibit. I worked on this painting after attending some awesome workshops led by Joanna McNally, Painting Impressions. Trying some new techniques including palette knife in addition to brush work. It's fun to loosen up.

As a member of the North Florida Art League and Gateway Art Gallery exhibitor, it was so rewarding today to volunteer as a docent giving high school students a tour of our Iconic Art Exhibit. Art history never gets old.

It's an honor to be recognized in a national, juried exhibition by the National Oil & Acrylic Painters’ Society. This organization has been showcasing oil and acrylic painters since 1991. Tues. night, I attended the reception and announcement of awards for the 16th Annual Reichert Memorial Juried Art Show in Lake City, Florida. With more than 70 entries, I was honored to win 3rd place in painting for my 12” x 16” acrylic titled, “Pears Sampled.” Sponsored by The Art League of North Florida and Friends of the Columbia County Public Library, the show will be on display until June 30 at the West Branch Library, 435 NW Hall of Fame Dr, Lake City. My sincere gratitude to the organizers and judges.

Some patrons shared with me this photo of my three companion paintings hung in their kitchen in St. Pete. They had purchased the fruit painting at a show in Tampa and then wanted two more paintings of veggies and seafood to work with the first and fill wall space. I welcome challenges and painting new subject matter. Loved working on this project!!

Acrylic on stretched 18” x 24” canvas, gallery-wrapped and painted over the edges for a self-contained frame. Wish I had still been near Highlands to see the show when it went up in Sept.
