Vote no on amendment 4.
Attorney General Ashley Moody took this amendment to the Florida Supreme Court because the language is not clear (very ambiguous) and therefore not understandable. Also amendments are to be on one subject and this is complex. The 4 male Supreme Court Justices decided it could go on the ballot as is. The 3 female Justices wrote strong dissents on both the ambiguity and consequences. But with the 4-3 decision it was approved to be on the ballot. There will be a financial impact statement with it, which the pro-abortion groups fought but was approved by the Court to accompany it. For instance since abortion is a constitutional right in Michigan throughout pregnancy the “cannot delay” phrase has prompted a suit to force their Medicaid funds to be used to pay for abortions. The same could happen here. Also, parental notification means that only, not consent. If passed all previous laws and any future proposed laws must comply with this amendment to the constitution, so any law not in compliance will be overturned or not passed.

With the spirit of the Lord there is freedom and a peace which transcends human understanding.

Every single church should be discussing amendment 4. This is an amendment that will allow abortion until the late term. The language is deceptively vague. It was done that way on purpose so that a health care provider can determine the viability of your infant. It is deceptive and it will never be taken out of the Constitution and it will be never overruled by legislation once it's voted in. If you're a Church, be bold enough to proclaim that God's children are his and they are special.

Even if you think "reasonably accessible abortion" is a good thing. This is not the language you want. Words are important.

The usage of the title “Dr.” for JD holders is appropriate, and its usage should be discussed and clarified.

The unofficial prohibition and academic resentment toward the use of the term “Dr.” for holders of the JD is outdated and unnecessary, and it should be finally and formally considered and adjusted. Since the ABA has removed the limitation of the use of the title, it is time to formally provide a structure for JD holders who use the term “Dr.” to be universally accepted.

We join with many in our legal community in mourning the loss of beloved 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐦 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐉𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬 𝐊𝐞𝐲𝐬𝐞𝐫, who passed away yesterday.

A Miami native, she received her B.A. degree from Florida State University in 1979 and her J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law in 1982. She was appointed to the 15th Judicial Circuit Court in Florida in 2011 by Governor Rick Scott. She was elected in 2012 and retired on June 30, 2022.

𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐞𝐥 𝐁𝐚𝐱𝐭𝐞𝐫 knew Judge Keyser, as did all of our attorneys, and his lovely tribute summarizes what all of us are feeling today:

Judge Janis Keyser was one of the smartest attorneys I’ve ever known. Her brilliance wasn’t even her best quality. Judge Keyser was gracious and generous. She was a wonderful Judge and an even better person. My thoughts go out to her family: her husband, Judge Gregory Keyser and their children, Mallory and Spencer.”
