Tips on skin health and care from Jennifer...
Your skin reacts to your lifestyle choices. Smoking, drinking spirits and sun tanning(natural or artificial sun light) on a daily basis asphyxiate your skin cells, drying them out and creating rough bumpy skin. We call this, textured skin. Also, eating an unhealthy diet(fast food or processed foods) can lead to lackluster skin.
These changes are simple enough to do on your own. However another cause of textured, lackluster skin has to do with the natural process of aging. From birth to adolescence our skin regenerates every few days, keeping it soft and subtle. As we age on through our teen years, regeneration begins after 28 days. Young adults go every 2-3 months and elders can go up to 5-7 months without regenerating new skin cells! Who knew, right?!
The remedy for this part of skin care is to visit your esthetician regularly for a deep exfoliation. Also, you'll need to keep up at home in between visits with exfoliating washes, serums and moisturizers to keep your skin looking youthful.
Talk to your skin care specialist soon to figure out which products are best for your skin TYPE and CONDITION. It's very important to know those two things before using the wrong products and not getting the correct or best results. Using the wrong products or procedures can lead to worsening skin conditions. Furthermore it can lead to a loss of interest because you might think it's a scam or that your skin isn't able to achieve maximum results. Please know that your skin can look, feel and BE HEALTHY again!
