Looks like 2023 is going to be the Year of Artificial Intelligence as various text and visual services based on machine learning suddenly reached the point of conditional Technology Singularity and surprised us all. Of course it's not AI yet, but they already know how to write text for our Amazon listings and create visual content, often better than designers and copywriters. If we are talking about marketplace trading, I would outline 3 important challenges that packaging solves, with the third being unexpected, and we haven't seen much information about it. 1) the pack is selling . At the same time, I wouldn't recommend to create packaging design right from the first batch, it can be done after the product has shown good sales and feedback from customers. 2). The savings of the purchase. If the buyer receives a damaged product or even the packaging itself, this will likely lead to a return and poor feedback, so at an early stage you need to think about packaging options and look for weaknesses of your product during transportation. 3). Optimize the packaging. Since we ship cargo across the ocean from China to the United States, transportation costs constitute a significant portion of the cost, when calculating the business model. Here is the latest example - we ship the first batch of goods to our partner of 330 units and only by optimizing the location of the goods in the packaging and changing the box itself, we were able to reduce the price of sea freight from $6,500 to $4,200. Samples from different manufacturers, whose orders take place after the product improvement stage, we are waiting for them as Christmas gifts. What we get is usually a finished prototype, given all our assumptions about improvement. The task of this stage is not only to understand the adequacy and relevance of our decisions, but also to see with your own eyes which of the manufacturers did the task best, namely - produced the product in high quality and on time and how much detail it understood the offer we made changes and was able to put them into practice. Of course, up to this point, we see everything in photos and videos, making changes almost in real time, but from time to time it happens that the sample that came, after the tests conducted, is not 100% satisfied and we send it for finalization to get the best result.

Already after registering the company in the United States, parallel to the improvement stage of the chosen product, we register the trademark. The main objective of this move is to get the Brand Registry on Amazon, which gives you access to certain marketing tools and helps protect your listing from unfair competition. We recommend using an anonymous name that is not tied to a particular product category. If we talk about the marketing side of Brand registration, then it all depends on the product we choose for a partner. Initially, most products do not require the creation of a branded packaging design and are sent to warehouses in ordinary yellow cartons, however, if the product chosen for a partner is a gift, for example, its positioning is mandatory but requires a beautiful selling package, in this case we develop branding, work on design and logo, register separate trademark in the USA that will already be attached to this product.
P.S. In the photo is the house of Jobs' parents, where he and Voznyak invented Apple. It is unlikely that they worked out the brand model of their future company in detail then :)

During our introductory partner meeting, which is usually in person, in our office or on Zoom, among others, I often get asked about our goals and why we need it all, why don't we just launch our own products? In fact, we launch new products all the time, about once every three months, but the direction of partner launch is a separate business, in which, frankly, we believe in even more than just a product. Initially, this direction was that there are almost no companies on the our market that provide a similar service and when we ourselves, having no experience with Amazon, were looking for a contractor, had to turn to the company in the United States. After some time, we realized that we still maintain our team to work with Amazon, but we cannot load it to 100% only with our products. Since it is not interesting to us to make money just at our service, we have developed several strategic tasks in this direction for 2-3 years ahead:
1) On the path of increasing the number of goods and niches, we will soon be able to combine orders in fewer factories, depending on the type of production, which will allow to give more interesting prices for partners, even taking into account our small commission. It is important to note that this is the work of a Win-Win format, where we do not impose anything and the partner, if he does not want, can always refuse the offer.
2) Concluding exclusive contracts with manufacturers where to sell their products on Amazon, only we and our customers will be. This will eliminate internal competition and relieve manufacturers from the headache of constant flow of dealers.
3) Huge prospects for working with funds that deal with buying Amazon businesses. The ability to consolidate the goods of different customers into one lot, to launch new items in the lot for sale, and to boost sales due to external traffic is just the beginning of the work.
4) Each of our partners (and this is not flattery or exaggeration) is a true creative generator of ideas, giving new things, allowing us to grow and become better. In the process of joint work, new ideas and strategies for joint development will inevitably appear.
