Pathfinder Outdoor Education

We're on the lookout for Outdoor Education Facilitators!

Each facilitator works with groups of participants following a customized program schedule. The facilitator is responsible for establishing a tone of fun, inclusion, and growth; helping the group set agreements; and working toward the group’s goals. They assess the needs of their group and work within the limits of the schedule to select activities that will provide a fun and meaningful experience.

Come join us at Pathfinder's monthly Open Tree Climb this Saturday, August 3rd! Bring your friends and family to explore our live oak tree as we celebrate nearing the end of summer.

Our climbing blocks begin at 10:00am and each lasts for 45 minutes. The last one will begin at 1:45pm.

Cost for our Open Tree Climb is free!

Participants must be 6 years of age or older to climb. Wear your closed-toe shoes and bring your water bottle- we can't wait to see you!

Some photos from our June Aquatic Camp! During our field trip days, we explored the St. Pete pier and Maximo Park with our campers. We went snorkeling at both locations, saw lots of wildlife, went catch and release fishing, explored the , and went dip netting, just to name a few of our adventures!

It's almost that time again- Pathfinder's Open Tree Climb for July is next Saturday! Come explore some new additions we've added to our Live Oak's canopy and celebrate the weekend with us.🌳

It will be warm, so remember to bring your water bottle! We have coolers to refill, so you can stay hydrated while you climb!

From 10:00 am - 2:30 pm. *Our last climbing block begins at 1:45 pm. This event is free for all and participants must be 6+ years old to climb.

School is out, and camp is in! This summer, Pathfinder is hosting two camps for 9-13 year olds at our office location in St. Petersburg. We still have a few openings in both our June and July camps, so register your camper today!

Do you have young explorers looking for outdoor fun? This is the camp for them! During this week, we'll have community building activities, two climbing adventures, a paddling trip, crafts, and outdoor living skills! This camp will have two local field trips off-site. Then, we'll end our week with camp cooking and a skit performance!🌳

This weekend kicks off the first of our three community events this month!

🌳Pathfinder's Open Tree Climb - Saturday, May 4th
Our free monthly tree climbing event will take place starting at 10:00am with our last climbing block starting at 1:45pm. Bring your friends, family, and neighbors aged 6+ to come climb with you!

🌻Pathfinder & Artists for Impact Makers Market - Saturday, May 11th
Still looking for a Mother's Day or upcoming birthday gift for a friend? Come browse the pottery, jewelry, prints, and other creations by some of our Pathfinder facilitators and local community members! We are excited to be hosting our third makers market and clothing swap with from 12:00pm - 4:00pm! Come enjoy the art and a beautiful Saturday under our tree.

🌳Bonnet Springs Stem in the Park Saturday Tree Climb - Saturday, May 25th 9:00am - 2:00pm
Come join us in Lakeland at near the Nature Center for a free tree climb. Our facilitators offer a new and unique way to explore your local live oak trees by ascending into the tree canopy. Climbers must be age 6+ to participate.

Happy from your Pathfinders and some of the creatures we get to see during our adventures!🌎 Most of our programs take place outside, not just because it's more fun, but because we have found nature to be the best classroom!

We are so excited to be bringing back our art market with THIS SATURDAY!🌳 Come peruse some of the creations by our facilitators and local Tampa Bay artisans, or create a masterpiece of your own at our painting party. 🎨🖌

There will also be a clothing swap, so feel free to bring some things you want to trade with your wardrobe. We'll be enjoying the sunshine from 12-4 PM at our office location (1310 22nd Ave S, St. Petersburg). We can't wait to see you there!✨️

School is out, and camp is in! Pathfinder is offering a Mission Survivor camp for 8-13 year olds! Campers will get outside and have fun learning basic outdoor living skills like fire making, shelter building, basic first aid, and more. Hi friends, unfortunately we have made the decision to cancel January’s . After last weekend’s storm, some of the limbs of our tree were knocked down, among other damage at our office.

In order to ensure a safe and fun experience, we’re going to take the next few weeks to trim back some of the broken limbs as well as check on a few other things, but everything will be ready to go by February 3rd!

We look forward to seeing all of you then!
