Our Story

The Drum Studio - School of Music is my studio where I teach drums, bass, guitar lessons and rock band classes. Soon after I moved here from Chicago, IL in 2001 I was teaching community outreach music programs (Boys and Girls Club, P.A.L. Girls INC) teaching in-home private lessons and as teaching an adjunct in public Schools. With the support of "community minded" people and the local music scene and I was able to open The Drum Studio officially in 2002 and now celebrating my 16th year at this location. Totally local, by word of mouth grassroots movement. All original.
Chances are, if you are out enjoying live local music performed by younger musicians; you are hearing, seeing or enjoying one of my past private students that I mentored over the past decade and a half. The Drum Studio was the first and by far the best when it comes to music lessons and gaining real world experience for aspiring musicians in Sarasota/ Bradenton. Way before start up rock schools started popping up or a giant corporation capitalizing on demographics came to town,The Drum Studio was already a local fixture in the Sarasota music scene and embedded in many charitable organizations, most notably, but not exclusively, Giving Hunger The Blues where The Drum Studio - School of Music facilitates the youth stage hosting over 500 youth performers since 2005. It's all original and its all me joined by aspiring youth musicians and their parents . Support The Drum Studio and support a local musician who has done a lot of good for the Sarasota community over the past 16 years.
