My Big and beautiful wood
That rippling effect next to the knot is absolutely crazy.
Isn’t nature so cool?
•
Cedar top and poplar bottom, they look so good together!
My first time working with poplar and I’m ecstatic about the results.
•
Did you know poplar is technically a hardwood but it’s pretty soft?
Hardwood and softwood are just classifications of species of trees, usually referring to there leaf shape, if they lose their leaves, and how fast they grow.
Not actually the density of the wood!
•
Don’t forget I’ll be at February 4th with all my wood laid out for you to see!
Since it’s finally been opened I wanted to share these cute little wood blocks I made for my nephew!
•
Pine with wood burn engravings for the numbers and shapes.
All food grade so that little guy can teeth his little heart out.
No reason to cry over broken wood
•
I was really excited about this piece. I went a little too far with the sanding and busted right through. I was a bit upset but it allowed me to step back and take things slower.
•
My wood’s got a mind of its own, you could even say it’s got a head of its own.
Check my wood out!
Shaping of this beautiful Norfolk pine bowl.
•
That oil really making the spalting shine.
•
Tried a new wax with this piece and loving the outcome. Oil and waxed up wood!
Combining woods is a lot fun!
It Brings different density’s when turning but the colors are eye catching!
•
In the third photo my bunny Cookie is checking the quality of the piece.

Check this beautiful piece out!
I just turned this up and found this beautiful knot.
It popped right out once I was done sanding!
•
Norfolk pine with some beautiful discoloration, the knot adds some wonderful configuration in the grain. As well as an interesting hole! What do you think, knot in or out?

These lovely shaped mirrors I’ve been up-cycling from the broken or unwanted.
Each uniquely designed.
•
This one featured is stained by a fascinating process called Ebonizing. Rubbing a steal and vinegar mixture darkens the wood, seals it, and will react to each wood differently.
Isn’t that just so cool!?!
Look at these bad boys!
Wood looks good… no matter the size.
•
Few small cedar bowls in the making!
Pre-oil, the grain is already shinning through.
A few tea lights I’ve been crafting up! Which design is your favorite?
•
All Norfolk pine with some beautiful and natural discoloration in the wood.

•
Just finished this custom “no soliciting” sign.
I love the grain pattern on this piece.

First time wood burning, it was a lot of fun. I’ll see what else I can do with it!
•
Testing out a new piece!
Organic shaped mirror with birch base.
•
Played with my wood a bit different today but really loving the results. Tried out Ebonizing the birch and it’s looking wonderful!
•
