An entrepreneur with a profound dedication to inclusivity, Jason has been a trailblazer in removing communication barriers for individuals with disabilities. Through his leadership at Mizaru Corp and Three Monkeys Communication, he focuses on keynote speaking, corporate training, coaching, and accessibility consulting.

His commitment extends to employing and retaining individuals with disabilities and developing accessible applications for the deaf and blind community. With a rich educational background in Business Administration and Management Information Systems and experience, including lecturing at Towson University and working with the U.S. Department of Defense, Jason brings invaluable insights into accessibility and inclusivity in the tech world.

His involvement in deafblind organizations and credentials in accessibility core competencies make him a key figure in advancing equal opportunities in technology and communication.

Với tư cách là người sáng lập và là Giám đốc điều hành, Jason đã thành lập Three Monkeys Communication vào giữa năm 2018 và Mizaru vào đầu năm 2021 để xoá bỏ rào cản giao tiếp cho người khuyết tật. Jason, một người mù điếc từ khi mới sinh, sống ở Wisconsin. Jason theo học tại Trường dành cho người Điếc Wisconsin và sau đó chuyển đến Trường dành cho người mù và khiếm thị Wisconsin, nơi anh nhận bằng tốt nghiệp trung học. Jason tích cực tham gia nhiều môn thể thao ở trường, chẳng hạn như đấu vật, bơi lội, điền kinh và đánh bóng. Chuyển tiếp từ trường trung học, Jason theo học chuyên ngành Công nghệ thông tin, nhận bằng cử nhân loại ưu của Đại học Wisconsin. Để tiếp tục sở thích và đạt được mục tiêu của mình khi làm việc cho chính phủ liên bang, Jason đã tiếp tục việc học ở các cấp học cao hơn, tốt nghiệp từ Đại học Johns Hopkins với bằng thạc sĩ về Hệ thống thông tin. Jason cố gắng tạo ra những tác động tích cực đến cộng đồng Mù Điếc. Ông áp dụng kiến thức và chuyên môn của mình bằng cách phục vụ và chủ trì các ban cố vấn của chính phủ, đưa ra lời khuyên tới chính phủ để có thể phục vụ người khuyết tật tốt hơn. Anh thích huấn luyện và giảng dạy ở mọi cấp độ, bao gồm cả việc làm giảng viên cấp đại học. Jason làm việc tại nhà, quản lý công ty Three Monkeys Communication và Mizaru.

Khoá tập huấn là cơ hội cho mọi người được tiếp cận với cách giao tiếp với người Mù Điếc được một người Mù Điếc rất giàu kinh nghiệm về cuộc sống, giao tiếp hiệu quả bằng việc kết hợp giữa kí hiệu và sự chạm bằng tay (Pro – Tactile), cách trao quyền cho cộng đồng Mù Điếc hướng dẫn, cung cấp thông tin môi trường phù hợp và đưa ra quyết định.

Đinh Hoài Linh cùng tham gia huấn luyện là người được truyền cảm hứng và đã có kinh nghiệm làm việc với Jason qua giao tiếp bằng NNKH Mỹ/ kí hiệu quốc tế với Pro-Tactile.

Job Description:
Mizaru Corp is seeking a team of 2 experienced American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters to accompany our CEO, Jason A. Corning, and two team members of Mizaru Corp to the Health 2.0 Conference in Dubai. Jason will receive an Honor award during this prestigious event. It's important to note that Jason A. Corning is a deafblind individual, and the interpreters will facilitate communication for him throughout the conference.

Vacant Positions: 2

Requirements:
Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) and experienced in interpreting for deafblind individuals.
Possession of relevant interpreter certifications or qualifications.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Cultural sensitivity and the ability to adapt to diverse environments.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Availability for the specified travel dates.

Compensation and Benefits:
Mizaru Corp will cover conference fees for four individuals (2 interpreters and 2 team members), including meals and drinks.
Mizaru Corp will provide airfare for the interpreters.
We shared hotel accommodations for both interpreters.
Mizaru Corp will cover transportation within Dubai during the event days.
Interpreters can request an extended stay but must cover the difference in expenses.
The Mizaru team will provide an appreciation gift.
Possible opportunity for future travel with Mizaru Corp for well-matched and successful candidates.

Jason Corning: Our business helps people with disabilities practice and look for jobs, (so) we can provide them with useful communication, access, and support. It’s a platform that helps people with disabilities find a professional supporter employee who will help them have full access to communication and social cues. One example is a language interpreter and communication facilitator that helps them read. We’ve been in business for 2 years.

RM: What is your vision for the future?
JC: I want our platform to help people worldwide; to help individuals that are deaf or blind.


RM: Who is your target market?
JC: We are a B2B; our biggest clients are non-profits, hospitals, and educational institutes. We started in Oregon, but we’ve done a lot of updates with our app to expand into other states.

RM: What problems do you solve for your customers?
JC: A problem (for customers) is finding the correct people who can provide access or interpretation. Our solution to that is that customers set up their profile and put in filters for the accommodation they need. We have a bank of resources that matches them with the correct person or agency.

RM: What new challenges do you face in light of all the changes that have taken place over the past few years?
JC: A challenge is funding to maintain the application and hire people to work with us.

RM: What offer or call to action would you like to include?
JC: I would be interested in helping with services to grow and build relationships with the community, (like) questions, recruiting, in-depth studies, (and) interpreter programs. We started with deaf and hard of hearing, deaf/blind and blind, but we plan on expanding. Right now, we are honing in and trying to see if there are special needs we can support further.

RM: What inspires you?
JC: My deaf/blind clients when they can be more independent; my inspiration and experience itself with the TEDx presentation- I never thought I would give a presentation like that. Stories are happening and it’s such a special experience for me to travel the world and touch so many different locations.
