Cannonball Forge

Here is one I finished up a couple days ago. 168 layers with a red oak handle.
390 layers, it turned out better than I expected.
The San mai Lion knife is complete.
I have turned this little guy into 390 layers. I’m still not sure what it will be but I know it will be beautiful.
This is my favorite chefs set I have made. Each piece has a different handle. It ships to its new home on Monday.
Another custom order all done. It was a lot of work but the end result was definitely worth it.
Here is the start of my next project. What should I make? I’m not sure yet.
This lion knife turned out amazing. 1095 steel with a Brazilian cherry handle
This was a fun project. 1095 steel with a gut hook. And a zebra wood handle.
So the event I have worked for a year for is over. the Canterbury renaissance fair is always a blast. made some new friends, and saw some old ones to. Had some drinks and good food, and I even got beaded. I can’t wait for next year.
This happened today. At the maroon county fair a couple mandalorian came by the IACT booth and posed with a couple of knives I made. It totally made my day. 😀
Another one ready for the show.
It’s finally done. And it turned out great!😊
Here is a test etch of what I’m working on tonight. 36 layers. It turned out great.
This was a fun project. 1095 and black walnut. Last week at the willamette valley blacksmith club the house princess saw a knife designed by a friend and loved it so much she asked if we can copy his design. So here it is. Thanks Josh Navarrete she is super excited about it.
This one is heading to my friend to help with his nonprofit that gives classes to our veterans and former first responders. It’s a good knife for a good cause. And it’s available. Hit me up if you are interested.
So day one was epic. I shook hands with so many talented smiths. I’m a little star struck for sure. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next 2 days.
All set up at blade.
Blade here we come 😃
I have been working on these for a while. A chef’s set out of 1084 steel with red oak handles. I couldn’t be happier with them. Now to send them to there new home.
I just finished this beauty up. 52100 steel with a bloodwood and Purple Heart handle. It turned out more beautiful than I thought it would.
Here it is. A cable dumaskis San mai lion killer with an oak and bubinga handle. It took ma almost two days but worth it.
I finished this kitchen set for a friend who is giving it to his wife for her birthday tomorrow. I hope she likes them as much as I do.
I finished this bushcraft knife today. A recycled coil spring off of a rock crusher and an oak kindle. It’s a beast.
This weekend I put handles on this kitchen set. I think Purple Heart is going to be the way to go. The blades are 52100.
I call this one the pirate knife. 5160 steel and a wenge handle. 🏴☠️
I Finley finished the canister dumaskis knife. 52100 ball barings and 1084 steel powder, and a black walnut handle.
