People don't often think of seeking out physical therapy when vertigo symptoms arise, but they should! Vestibular trained PT's can do certain maneuvers to move those inner ear crystals around to help relieve the dizzy symptoms being experienced. Patients are first run through a series of physical tests here in the clinic, to determine if the symptoms are indeed vertigo. If they are, the maneuver is done and if they are not, they are referred on to the proper specialist. Having the room spin around you is not fun so give us a call if you ever experience these symptoms!

Although we always hate to hear of time wasted on the rehab process, we love it when fate brings patients, like this, to us. Keeping this young lady on the softball field, and pitching no hitters for her team, brought us great joy. We aren't your standard, patient-mill, experience. With us you get a full hour, devoted only to you, where we get to the root of the problem and keep you in the game. Come experience care like you've never seen before.

Jared grew up in North Carolina and found his way here after marrying an amazing Salem girl. He’s an incredible therapist who we are excited to have as part of The PT Project team. He received his Bachelor of Sciences degree in Kinesiology from Campbell Univserity in NC in 2013 and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC in 2019. He went on to complete his Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency in Mesa, AZ and is currently part of the Sports and Manual Therapy Fellowship through the Institute of Athlete Regeneration in Charlotte, NC. He is also an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, Running Rehabilitation Specialist and Comprehensive Management of Sport-Related Concussion. Although he will happily treat all parts of the body, his favorites are shoulders and feet/ankles. Outside of the office he enjoys traveling, rooting for the Carolina Panthers and spending time with his wife.

Are you a CrossFit athlete that has been dealing with an injury and have been reluctant to reach out for help because you don't want to be told CrossFit is bad or you should stop because olympic lifting is dangerous?

Well, we are here to help you out. Not only will you not be told any of these things, but you are going to walk into a PT clinic where you are encouraged to keep doing your workouts, keep lifting, and keep working hard! We may need to look at scaling your workouts, or at least really address some form or technique issues, while we work together with your coaches to make sure you are set up for as much success as possible while you rehab your injury.

Now is the time to take care of yourself so you can continue to crush your CrossFit Open goals.

The Blackbears will be led this season by Coach Chuck Jones, who is a AFL coaching GOAT, and by former Oregon Duck and current NFL NY Giant, Kayvon Thibodeaux is on the ownership team.

We will have a farewell party for Sina at the clinic on January 29th 5:00-6:30. Please stop by, enjoy some appetizers and send her off with best wishes.

At the end of the month, Sina is heading back to Arizona for a new adventure. She will be working with her best friend, who is opening a cash pay physical therapy practice, much like this one. Her boyfriend, Brian, will be joining her in AZ and they are excited for the journey. We know many of you, like us, will miss her kind personality and amazing PT skillset here in Salem. She has a few openings left on 1/26, 1/29 and 1/30 if you'd like to get an appointment in before her departure. Please reach out to the clinic and we will get you scheduled. After 1/30, Sina's patients will be transitioned to Jon's schedule. We are thankful for the way Sina has taken care of The PT Project patients this past year and wish her all the success in her future endeavors. We know she will do big things and continue to crush records in the gym!

We are looking for an additional physical therapist to join our downtown Salem clinic! Open to part-time or full-time applicants.

At the PT Project, therapists work one-on-one with patients for a full hour. They are not restricted by insurance companies dictating number of visits or care for their patients and seeing 30 patients a week is considered a full schedule! Plus, we have the best patients who are active, motivated and want to be here!
