Ponderosa pine salve anyone?
This is made from ponderosa pine resin, beeswax and a little olive oil. If you like the way ponderosa pine trees smell, you will love this.
This salve is wonderful if you’ve got dry, chapped skin, or sore muscles. It a great diaper rash cream for your little ones too!

“The Desert is so flat” they say. “Everything is dead!”
But the wind picks up, pulls up the dirt, sneaks through the sage, rabbit brush, and curls around the juniper.
I stand, at the foothills of Hart Mountain, listening to the hidden springs, taking in the scents of the sage, juniper, dirt, mugwort, and a few other beings I don’t recognize by smell yet.
And I wonder how anyone can ever say there’s no life out here.

There is medicine in the act of gathering the thing, too.
All of your senses being activated by the world around you, the scent of the plant, the beauty of the space holding you in that moment, the birds singing their “spring is coming” songs. Breathing the fresh air, filling your lungs. The sticky mess of the resin on your hands, or maybe, the sting of the nettle. There is medicine and magic in the practice of just being with the plants. Get out if you can, my friends. You won’t regret it. ***rowned

Having some printer issues ‘round here, but let me tell y’all how excited I am to have the shop opening soon! Set your calendars for March 20th!
There will be so many new scents, 5ml, and sample sizes! Some sugar scrubs, chapsticks, salves, and really lovely face serums. Opening this shop has been my dream for so long, and I am finally almost there. This is a sneak peak and one of the labels to one of the new scents. It is definitely misprinted. Technical difficulties, but I’m so excited about this scent specifically. It’s very sexy. I hope to see y’all checking out the online shop. I’ll update a little more as it gets closer. 💚

Stocking up one of my absolute favorites! Ponderosa Pine salve!
I am doing my best to gear up for the opening of the shop/website by Spring Equinox!
I likely won’t be going back to Etsy to sell anything there, but instead I’m working on building my own website, (which if you’ve never done, and it aren’t super computer savvy, is pretty difficult! 😜 The main items I plan on having in the shop are spring inspired perfumes, salves, chapsticks, sugar scrubs, and bath bombs!

There is one scent you might recognize, lavender crusted marshmallow- this was a special request from a customer to be created into a perfume oil as this blend is usually an alcohol based creation. I suppose I should do an introduction-I am a very awkward human-
My name is Stephanie-Or Fani (a long standing nickname)
I am the owner and one of the creators of Hart Mountain Apothecary.
If you are curious about the name- we are not named after the organ(hence the spelling) -we are named after an area of Oregon where I was living when first started believing in myself and my dreams of working for myself, doing what I love.

I am a 30 something q***rdo who loves working with plant allies, crafting, and baking.
For the past several years I have been living the RV life, this has given me the great opportunity to spend a lot of time in nature, connecting with plants and respectfully harvesting them for medicines. I believe in mutually beneficial wildcrafting, leaving the land better than you found it, and growing what isn’t safe to harvest in the wild.

Eventually the goal is to own a farm where I can cultivate a lot of what I use for medicine making.

I’m really excited about this offering! It’s moisturizing without leaving your skin feeling oily, fireweed is a wonderful anti-inflammatory for your skin, this is especially helpful for the upcoming cold winter months when your face can get chapped from the wind. Fireweed is also helpful for keeping pesky acne away.
The face serum also doubles as a beard/hair oil!

Hello to all you fellow humans out there! It’s been a while, how are you? I hope this dark season is finding you all well.
We’ve been ramblin’ around our home state of Oregon for the past several months and been busy tending to other life needs. However, we are happy to announce that Hart Mountain Apothecary will be up and running again soon! Currently the projected time frame for our website to be up and to have new offering available is mid-March!
We’ve been experimenting with some new tinctures, ways to make incense that burn longer and are easier to light, and we’ve been making perfumes! A favorite so far is our homemade western red cedar perfume. Some say it smells like vanilla trees, others say it smells exactly like a cedar tree. Either way it smells incredible. We are very excited to be opening up again and hope to see y’all check out the shop when it opens back up.

We are closed for now, while we work out some life things, move, create our new website, and take advantage of the growing season!
