At this point in my life, I believe that grief is one of the most complex situations we will try and navigate our way though. When I meet with clients, they are far too often sharing negative stories with me of experiences had with other "spiritual" practitioners and belief systems that are adding additional grief and damage to their already heavy burden.
I absolutely, positively do not know everything about the world of the "hereafter." In fact, I often tell people that there are only two things that I ABSOLUTELY know:
1. Only the physical body dies, not the consciousness that inhabited it.
2. That consciousness is able to communicate with us and remains energetically connected.
Everything else is a theory based on my personal experiences with clients.
For example, I don't buy into a belief system of hell, everlasting darkness or punishment, because I have never, in thousands of verifiable connections, seen any evidence of this.
When people come to me burdened by grief, and also carrying "afterlife anxiety," I struggle to find the right way to guide them back down to Earth and a belief in something less foreboding and full of love.
