⭐️ THANK YOU to this amazing crew of volunteers from Distinguished Young Women of Oregon! Over the last several years, this organization has supported FBB by organizing clothing closets, organizing food and diaper pantries, and helping with events like Riverfront Family Fest.

This week, we were thrilled to welcome them to Doris's Place in Aumsville, where they spent some time cleaning in the classrooms and closets as well as weeding and tidying up the playground.

⭐️ THANK YOU First Story and Hayden Homes - Willamette Valley, Oregon. Since 2021, Hayden Homes and Family Building Blocks have been working together to support children and families in our community! The Hayden Homes team has participated in our holiday adoptions, special events, and diaper drives, as well as awarding grants to FBB through First Story, their non-profit dedicated to help deserving families and individuals achieve the dream of home ownership.

Recently, their team was on site at our Chelea’s Place location. We were honored to offer a tour of our space, including our Therapeutic Classrooms, and to hold further conversation about how we can continue to partner in our local communities.

Today, we celebrate Tula Gutierrez, Outreach Home Visitor at Family Building Blocks, on her official retirement! Tula has been an invaluable part of our team, bringing passion and positivity to every child and family she connected with. Throughout her time at FBB, Tula has served children that have since finished college and some that now work at FBB! Her contributions have truly helped shape our organization’s culture and success, and her impact will be felt for generations to come.

As Tula moves into a new chapter of her life, join us in wishing her well and thanking her going above and beyond to transform the lives of countless children and families in Marion and Polk counties.

Congratulations to Family Building Blocks’ Santiam Canyon Family Outreach Coordinator, Melodie Lynn Weeks, on receiving the 2023/4 Surfboard Award for her support on the Santiam Service Integration team. The Surfboard Award is given to a member each year who represents the exceptional spirit of teamwork and community collaboration, making our communities safer and stronger. 💪

On Thursday, June 20 from 4 PM - 8 PM, $2 for each drink ordered will be donated to Family Building Blocks in support of our mission to "Keep Children Safe and Families Together."

Pacific Standard's Pint Night drinks include any of their draft beers, draft wines and two of their cocktails - the house Paloma and the Pacific Standard. This also includes their Non-Alcoholic canned beers, and two zero-proof cocktails: The Tiger Balm and Wandering Path.
