Some news we received yesterday. I am thrilled for all our staff who have worked tirelessly over the years to make our wee pub a place of excellence and an overall great and fun experience every time. I’m happy they were recognised for the food they produce, and the service they provide to each and every customer who comes through our red swinging doors. Every 4 years hold a football tournament consisting of the best national squads in Europe. This year, Germany is the host and it all kicks off on Friday afternoon with Germany v Scotland at 3pm. The pub will be showing as many games as possible over the next few weeks, up to, and including the final. Follow our pubs football page - “Footy at the Pub” on FB for up to date info on the games we are showing. Bigger games we will open early. Hope you can join us for all the atmosphere and fabulous football for the next few weekends. Sunday is Fathers day and we will have the England v Serbia at 3pm. Make plans now dads. ☘️

We are Scalloping along into May with next weekend being the unofficial start of the Summer. Tis a Tursday today (say in your best Irish accent, not a Tom Cruise one in Far & Away which was an absolute disgrace btw) and we are off to a great start with this weekends offering. Presenting, Scallops a la puttanesca with our house made chitarra pasta. Yes, chef makes his own pasta and many of you have had his other pastas in the pasta. Want to wish all mums and soon to be mums a great day today. It’s beautiful out so hope you are all spoiled. We are A little late with our specials this week. Featuring an 8oz sirloin with Twice baked sweet potato, Grilled and roasted fennel Chimichurri. It’s also steamer season, and these are the best from our local Annisquam river. Steeped in Fennel, onion & garlic, in white wine and butter broth with chorizo and herbs. Hope you all enjoy them. ☘️

We at the pub work really hard each day to bring our locals, regulars and the gazillian of tourists who join us each year the best quality and affordable menu around. The weekend is here and chefs special has landed. Last weeks sold out very quickly and hope everyone enjoyed it. This weekend we will have this fresh Halibut from cumin crusted with a superb mediterranean sweet potato & herb salad coupled with our house made romesco sauce. This plate is so good and wont last. Two wonderful chef specials for the weekend if you’re looking for somewhere to head for dinner tonight. First up we have a grilled 8oz Swordfish steak & N’duja butter, with roasted potatoes, grilled broccolini and all on top of our house made romesco sauce. 2nd special is a Portuguese style fish stew full of Swordfish, haddock, shrimp and smoked salmon in a tomato broth with N’duja sausage and vegetables. “Follow us, because we’re delicious.” ☘️
We dropped some new seasonal items last night and are now available on our full time menu. Our very popular special is now fell time. House smoked salmon Cavatelli, Jumbo chicken wings with house made buffalo sauce, a fresh, and wonderful beet salad and of course the popular Guinness Mushroom stew. On lunch days we include a pulled pork sandwich along if that’s something you’re in the mood for along with all our favourites. Patio season is also upon us so stay tuned for opening day.. ☘️
Another wonderful and delicious chef special this weekend. Cavetelli with our house smoked salmon, Peas, asparagus, Salsa verde. We are gearing up for the spring time with a menu change coming soon. We will be offering some great specials in the upcoming weeks which we will feature here. A new desert special is also in the works. Hello all, just wanted to let our million + followers know we are opening early at 11am Sunday morning and offering a special all day Easter Brunch. Chef Ian and the team have been preparing all week so we wanted to bring our menu to you early in case you could not get a reservation elsewhere and would like to join us. Another perfect chef special for a rainy weekend. This dish is all fresh, prepared from scratch and beautifully presented. It’s “Clams Chitarra” consisting of house made pasta, fresh Clams from , Shallots, Garlic, Calabrian chili, N’duja sausage, Butter, Lemon & white Wine. Need I say more Pasta lovers? is coming. ☘️
Count down to St.Patricks day begins on March 1. To get everyone in the spirit of the annual Irish festival, we have a couple of events to let you know about. On Tuesday March 5th from 7-9, we feature the Guinness Brewery Ambassador here to give you the History, science, culture and some things I’ll bet you did not know, on all things Guinness. Did you know there are many more Guinness options than draught but drank all over the world? Where is the largest Guinness Brewery in the World? Come see Mike with all your questions. Chef will also be creating some specials made from Guinness for those who would like to enjoy a special menu on the evening while sipping your Guinness. Then, on Thursday March 7th from 6-8 come get your favourite name, saying or something Special, like, “I Quit” or “Will you Marry Me” etched for eternity onto your free Guinness Glass (Guinness not included) with the Guinness etching team. They are great at this stuff. No reservations are required but get in early for dinner and enjoy the events. ☘️ ☘️

Due to the massive snow storm we are having right now 🙄.. we will be closed tonight (Tuesday). Like everyone else, We made the call last night in consideration of our staffs traveling arrangements today. Open tomorrow night at 5 for the most loved up day in the year. We will have something special on the menu for the night and the week .. ❤️
To begin our 10th year, and on Super Bowl Sunday, we have two great specials today and into next week. First, a full pound+ of fresh (not frozen) jumbo chicken wings smothered in our chef made buffalo sauce with side of blue cheese. Our dinner special is Steak and ale pie, house made puff pastry, bacon, peas, potatoes, carrots, over a bed of home made mushy peas topped with a demi sauce. We are open for the game and our wings are available for take out all day. ☘️
