Fast-paced Dermatology office seeking energetic, team-oriented, Certified Medical Assistant.
Medical Assistant's duties include rooming patients, giving injections, scribing and clinically assisting provider during skin exams, surgery, non-invasive cosmetic procedures, and administrative tasks including visit notes in Electronic Medical Record software and follow-up with patients regarding test results, as well as other duties relevant to a medical office.
The ideal candidate has relevant experience, is certified, and is eager to learn about Dermatology!
Duties:
• ‪Room patients‬‬‬‬
• Administer IM injections
• Scribe for provider during visits
• Set up and assist during surgical and cosmetic procedures
• Suture removals
• Stock and sanitize rooms
• Autoclave instruments
• Communicate biopsy, prescription, and lab results to patients
• Maintain pathology log
• Schedule patients for surgical procedures
• Administer Photodynamic Therapy
Qualifications:
• Certified Medical Assistant (preferred, not required)
• Confident with Sterile technique
• Eager to learn about Dermatology in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word
• Comfort using various computer programs and Electronic Medical Record systems
Job Type:
• Full-time, 4 days a week between Monday – Friday 7:45am – 5pm or 8:30- 6:00
• One overnight trip per month with the provider to practice in Gunnison, CO office (expenses paid)

Experience:
• 2 years of experience in Medical Assisting is preferred
• Candidates with Dermatology experience are more competitive in this role
Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent
Certifications/Licenses:
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant is preferred
