It's ! This week's recipients are Kasey Ishman, Kevin Bryner, Ryan Junod, Shaun Keiter, and Mike Leach from Middletown, PA.

A family with a six-month-old baby and grandmother had their car break down on the side of a mountain on a 180° blind corner. The car shut off, and the parking brake came on automatically, immobilizing the vehicle. To make matters worse, the family also had no cell phone service. Our crew took them to the family to the top of the mountain, where they could get service and call for somebody to come to get them and get a tow truck. A few team members stayed behind and tried to help free the car from the roadway and safely flag traffic around the broken-down vehicle while others moved the infant out of the 90-degree temperatures. This crew had already worked a 10-hour day and then had to travel for an hour to get home, but instead of looking the other way, they stuck around to ensure a family in need remained safe. This crew's actions are the epitome of going above and beyond their job description and focusing on upholding our core values.

Last week, Mike Lang (Regional Training Manager), collaborating with the Mississippi Natural Gas Association, held their fourth auction to benefit patients at Baston Children's Hospital.

Mike and his team raised $5,000 in under ONE HOUR. Incredible work for a great cause.

Our site civil and heavy industrial team is equipped with the knowledge to complete a variety of projects including grading, new road construction, wet and dry utilities, and paving for residential or commercial developments.

We had the incredible opportunity to have a few kids from Firefly Children & Family Alliance come to Miller Pipeline to tour our facilities, ask questions about construction, play games, and eat some great food.

We're proud to partner with an incredible organization that does so much to help families across our area.

It's ! This week's recipient is Zach Ehnis from Wyoming, MI.

Zach Ehnis was staying in a hotel while working out of town. Another Miller employee was staying at the same hotel and started having chest pains. Thinking that it could be a heart attack, he walked down to Zach's room and asked if Zach could help. Zach called 911, explained what was happening, and helped the other employee as much as possible. This employee was taken by ambulance to the hospital and was admitted. Thank you, Zach, for your quick thinking.

Our team in Grand Rapids, MI, had a very special visitor this week. Carter, grandson of General Foreman Don Maxon, stopped in to submit his application.

Can't wait for him to join the team in 2039!

It's ! This week's recipients are Stephen Kays, Scott Acton, Patrick Whitehead, David Rexroat, Vincent Yakimow, Justin Brown, Eric Crews, Mike Alexander, Kevin Roberts, Felix Lopez, and Brian Thornton from Indianapolis, IN.

The WEKO group was hit with three large international material orders at the end of May and the beginning of June—one order to Malaysia and the other two in Mexico. The order for the group in Malaysia would be their third order placed in 2024. Their first two were completed in roughly four weeks and shipped out. On their most recent order, they doubled their quantities and requested the material to be delivered in half the time as the previous orders. This was a tall task because we didn’t house this amount of material. Once we received this material we could fully devote the entire Fab Shop and the WEKO crew to manufacturing these materials. After all manufacturing was completed, the shipping department took over and ensured to get these materials out the door ASAP to meet this customer’s needs. We shipped half of their order in a week and a half and the remaining materials the following week. All in all, we were able to meet this customer's requested time frame and were extremely pleased with our turnaround time. We sincerely appreciate everyone’s hard work in coming together to make these large rush orders happen in a timely manner, all while maintaining Miller’s reputation and helping us grow even more internationally.

It's ! This week's recipient is Andrew Samilpa from Kansas City, MO.

Andrew observed public bus transportation stopping at our work site and letting a blind man off the bus. Andrew quickly rushed to the gentleman and walked him around the job site, where a 10’ deep hole was being dug—great job looking out for the public.

It's ! This week's recipient is Foreman Reece Leer from Kansas City, MO.

Reece Leer and James Dowty were at lunch at Raising Canes when they noticed a woman choking on her food and unable to breathe. Reece ran over to her and gave her the Heimlich maneuver, which unstuck the lodged food from her throat. He then stayed with the woman and ensured she was okay until paramedics arrived. Due to his training at Miller, he could administer the Heimlich. Excellent job keeping the public safe, Reece!
