Our Story
Salina Regional Health Center Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation is a 15-bed acute rehabilitation unit. We are located on the 4th floor within Salina Regional Health Center. This allows us have use of the vast array of hospital services should our patients need it. Our unit provides comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation that includes onsite physicians, 24 hour rehab nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and a dedicated case manager.
As a whole, Salina Regional Health Center is stroke certified which allows us to best serve the needs of this patient population. We have two nurses specially trained in Rehabilitation Nursing. Our unit has Occupational Therapist and Speech Therapist that are certified in LSVT (Big and Loud) for treatment of Parkinson’s disease. Our Speech Therapist also has certifications in McNeill Dysphagia Therapy Program (MDTP) and VitalStim Therapy.
