Allstate customers: Think about this when Allstate says that they can’t pay for the proper repairs on your vehicle!
When you go to an insurance company’s “preferred shop”, “pre-approved shop” or a shop that is “on their list”, you are likely going to a shop where your insurance company, not you, are the customer. Your repairs will be determined based on cost savings to your insurance company, not with the value of your vehicle or your safety in mind.
Akron man blames auto shop for faulty repair: ‘Your negligence could have killed me’ A Northeast Ohio man claims faulty auto repair work almost caused him to crash his jeep.
When you see one of the few remaining World War II veterans, shake their hand, give them a hug and say “Thank you!”
When You Go Home, Tell Them Of Us And Say, For Your Tomorrow, We Gave Our Today!
We will remember them.
When your insurance company says, “They’re not a pre approved shop.” or, “That shop is not on my list.” That’s because Sudden Impact Auto Body & Paint Shop has chosen you, the vehicle owner as our customer and not the insurance company. We have made a commitment to repair vehicles the way the vehicle manufacturers say to fix them, not the way a third party bill payer (insurance company) wants them fixed. When it comes to paying for a claim, insurance companies want to use cheaper parts (imitation or junk yard parts), they want to cut corners on labor procedures and they want to ignore safety requirements written by the vehicle manufacturer’s engineers. Trust your chosen repairer, as they are the ones liable for your safety and the integrity of your repairs.
This thought always crosses my mind…remember this when you’re advocating for proper repairs on your vehicle!
As you’re watching the Super Bowl and your seeing the millions/billions of dollars your insurance company is spending your premium dollars on, remember this and remind your adjuster of this as they are denying portions of your claim. 😂😂
Being involved in a collision is never fun. Getting your vehicle back in pre-accident condition feels great. However, sometimes insurance companies have to make a financial decision when the cost of repairs are too expensive/extensive in comparison to the value of the vehicle. When this happens, an insurance company may offer to "buy" a new vehicle for you instead of paying to repair your vehicle. This is called a "total loss settlement". Check out this short video to find out more!
Please be patient with us…we have no phones or internet. Spectrum says it should be back on around 3:30 today.
Happy birthday to Sudden Impact’s own Irish twins!
Happy Friday!!!! Enjoy your weekend!!
Good news for North Carolinians in this article! (check the last sentence!) Rising repair costs are cited as one of the reasons insurance rates are increasing. We see this everyday as vehicles become more complicated with new technology and more parts. In 2007 a base model Honda Accord bumper had 5-7 components attached to it; a 2024 Honda Accord bumper can have over 20 components!

A Collision Christmas by Chat GPT
'Twas the night before Christmas, in the collision repair bay,
Not a wrench was stirring, no tools in disarray.
The cars were all parked with precision and care,
In hopes that Saint Towing soon would be there.
The body shop techs were nestled in coveralls,
While visions of welds danced in repair stalls.
And the estimators in their offices, and I in my cap,
Had just settled down for a long winter's nap.
When out on the lot there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my desk to see what was the matter.
Away to the window, I flew like a flash,
Tore open the blinds and threw up the sash.
The moon on the hoods of the newly repaired
Gave a luster of midday to fenders prepared.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a tow truck, with St. Nicholas shifting gears.
With a seasoned old driver, so lively and quick,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
More rapid than tow cables, his coursers they came,
And he whistled and shouted and called them by name:
"Now, Fender! now, Bumper! now, Quarter and Door!
On, Chassis! on, Paint Job! on, Windshield and Floor!
To the front of the shop, to the back of the lot!
Now tow away, tow away, tow away hot!"
As scraps that before the compactor fly,
When they meet with an accident, mount to the sky.
So up to the shop's entrance, the tow truck it flew,
With a bed full of wrecks, and St. Nicholas too.
And then, in a twinkling, I heard on the ground,
The unloading and banging of parts all around.
As I drew in my head and was turning around,
Down the chimney St. Nicholas came with a bound.
He was dressed in coveralls, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with engine grease and soot.
A bundle of tools he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a mechanic just opening his pack.
His eyes—how they twinkled! His dimples, how merry!
His cheeks were like airbags, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard on his chin was as white as the snow.
The stump of a wrench he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke, it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowl full of jelly!
He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And I laughed when I saw him, in spite of myself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave me to know I had nothing to dread.
He spoke not a word but went straight to his work,
Inspecting each fender, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
Giving a nod, to the tow truck he goes.
He sprang to his truck, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all towed like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim as he drove out of sight,
"Happy Christmas to all, and to all a smooth ride!"
Did you know that if your vehicle is damaged due to a collision, you may be entitled to a "diminished value" settlement? This would be an additional settlement check, separate from your property damage claim, to compensate you for value lost due to being a victim of an accident. Not every claim is eligible for this settlement, watch this video to find out more! If you have any questions, post them below!
