Hi! I am Lauren Almanza, MS, OTR/L. I obtained my Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of Illinois in Chicago, completing internships in Salt Lake City, Chicago, and Honolulu. I worked for 10 years as an occupational therapist in various rehabilitation settings - outpatient, inpatient, acute care, and community-based throughout Texas. I have extensive experience in neurological rehabilitation, community reintegration, and holistic care. I joined the Survivor Healthcare team in Fall 2022.
I grew up in Hawaii and California, and have also lived in Montana and Colorado. I have traveled to 35 countries! I find joy in good books, cooking up a storm, fluffy socks, traveling, photography, house plants, and spending time in nature with my kids and husband.
Hey y'all! I am Karen Myers, MSW, LCSW, ACHP-SW. I'm native to Southern California and have resided for many years in North Carolina. I am a veteran social worker with 25 years experience as a medical social worker and have worked extensively in both the hospital and home care setting. I possess a strong background in adult oncology and am certified in palliative care. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from California State University-Fullerton and a Master of Social Work from San Diego State University; and, completed graduate studies in Clinical Social Work at Tulane University in New Orleans. I joined the Survivor Healthcare team in Autumn 2022.
I'm a mother of two adult children, stepmom to four adult children, and MamaBunch to ten grandchildren. I'm an enthusiastic and devoted lap-swimmer and power-walker and love the energy I get from both these. I also love cooking and eating a colorful plant-based diet, and spending time with my family. I'm passionate about experiences that fill my life with awe and wonder--mostly, being outdoors in nature (often with a camera), and listening to live music.
Happy Thanksgiving! Survivor Healthcare will be closed Thursday, 11/24 and Friday, 11/25. We wish you and your loved ones a wonderful weekend. Our hearts are full of gratitude for our amazing community.
Hi! I am Kimberlee Voss, MS OTR/L. I received my Masters of Occupational Therapy and Holistic Health studies at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. I have worked in inpatient and transitional rehab, home health, and community health over the past 10 years. Integrative care has been a paramount aspect of my therapeutic practices in order to provide patients with diverse options in addressing the improvement of function, quality of life, and minimizing pain. I joined the Survivor Healthcare team in fall of 2021.
I was raised in the Midwest, calling Michigan my home until adventuring out to Salt Lake City where my heart was stolen by both the Utah landscape and my husband Ryan. I enjoy exploring with my family through hiking, biking, skiing, camping, and rockhounding.
Hi! I am Andrea Fleishel, RD, CSO, CNSC. I obtained my bachelors of science in Dietetics from Eastern Michigan University with my internship completed in various locations around west Michigan. After years of working with oncology patients at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan I became a certified specialist in oncology nutrition. I have many years of acute care nutrition experience including adult critical care, rehabilitation, surgical, and oncology. I joined the Survivor Healthcare team in Spring of 2022.
After spending most of my life in the mitten state, myself and my husband relocated to Utah in search of more outdoor fun in 2021. I feel at home in the mountains camping, hiking, running, and most recently biking. Outdoor adventures with my huskies, Piper and Quinn, are my favorite!

Cancer is tough. When psychological health, physical health, social health and/or financial health are negatively impacted by the journey in a way that limits the quality of life- that's cancer related disease trauma. Check out our website for more information on our CRDT treatment program.
