It’s time! The Midvale mural festival is officially taking your applications!
This call for artists is for the professional all the way to the beginner mural artist.

Stipends will be provided to the artists if you are selected to paint. Lifts and ladders will be provided by us as well.
•
We will be able to provide some bucket paint for a base coat. You will need to supply your own paint. And take care of your housing and or travel and food.
•

We are so thrilled to announce Scott Power of as our final speaker to the conference lineup!

Scott "Sourdough" Power (he/him/his) is the creator and publisher of NOT REAL ART and the founder and chief content officer of Crewest Studio, an arts media enterprise based in Los Angeles. Scott is a life long creative with deep roots in the arts. He hosts the NOT REAL ART podcast under the pseudonym "Sourdough", a moniker he earned while living in the Canadian arctic perfecting his tasty sourdough pancakes. Scott is proud to be a member of The Explorers Club and 2x Ironman finisher, but admits being a dad is way cooler.

Tyler Tolson is the CEO and Founder of Denik, a designer notebook and lifestyle product company that uses a portion of its funds to build schools and support artists. He started the company in 2011 as a full-time student at Utah State University. The company has blossomed into a multi-million dollar brand and serves customers like Nordstrom, Urban Outfitters, and Target in over 16,000 retail locations in North America. Denik also produces custom notebooks for brands like Nike, Disney, Google, TikTok, Uber, and Obey. The Denik community has funded 6 schools to date- 1 in Laos, 1 in Guatemala, 1 in Ghana, 1 in Nicaragua, and 2 in Mali, Africa.

Tyler has been named as “Young Emerging Leader” by the Leader to Leader Institute in New York, and was selected as "Top 40 Under 40" leaders in the Gift and Stationery Industry. Tyler currently serves on the Entrepreneurship Center Board at the Huntsman School of Business. During the last eleven years he has taught and trained audiences of various capacities, and has consulted entrepreneurs, students, and artists at all stages of business. However, Tyler's greatest accomplishment is marrying the girl of his dreams and raising his 4 rockstar kids.

Kiptoe stands out as a multi-talented creator who continues to make his work come to life through stories and animations that he injects into his paintings and videos. In 2015 he moved across the country from New Hampshire to Los Angeles, with no plans except with the goal to paint murals around the world. After a couple years in LA, he took it upon himself to travel through South America and create murals on his own. He crafted travel episodes along the way, taking his audience along for the ride through every mural and country.
Viewers now can see several mural travel series’ on his YouTube channel, as well as stop-motion animations and short films, and short-form content through his Instagram page. Kiptoe finds his inspiration through comics, sculptures, movies, and his own life adventures.
Kiptoe has worked for private clients, small and large businesses, the entertainment industry, and more.
He has painted in countries like Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Peru, France, Spain, Germany, Finland, England, Lebanon, Mexico, and across the USA.
When I'm not painting, I also enjoy video production, dancing, longboarding, and lots of peanut butter.

has been a good friend and great artist resource for us and we are pumped to have him as a speaker at the conference!

Chuck Landvatter was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. He holds a BS in Interpersonal Communications from the University of Utah (2008), and an MFA in Drawing & Painting from Utah State University (2013). Chuck taught art and design for nearly a decade at USU, Weber State, and SAU in various capacities including assistant professor. Chuck’s work speaks to changing perceptions, is informed by his experience growing up in the Intermountain West, and is executed with a hybrid approach involving traditional techniques, contemporary design, illustration, and graffiti.

Meak is a contemporary pop artist and muralist from SLC Utah. Growing up he was surrounded by artists in his family and started drawing from a young age. Having a taste for alternative media and art forms he was a bit of a black sheep growing up in the Utah art scene. After graduating school and getting fired from a graphic design firm. He got the opportunity to live his dream and become a full time artist and small business owner at 21. He is the co-owner of ALL CAPS art gallery with Aeliaslorenzoart and co planner of the ALL CAPS Creators Conference. He's not sure how he got here. He just knows he tries his best and smiles a lot.

His medium of choice is acrylic painting on canvas, where he explores forcing comfortable and familiar images together with the creepy and uncanny. Though he now makes rugs, and is getting into other forms of creation such as toys and wood cutouts. His past art was mainly an exploration of composition and ex*****on; he is branching out into storytelling and more personal works of art.

He has worked with a few businesses around Utah painting murals and claimed a few awards in school for his art. Some people might say that his art almost jumps off the wall onto them.

If you get him going about the topic of “what is art” he will talk your ear off about the duct tape banana and NFT’s and how it's all related to the invention of the camera. He is super grateful to be in the position he's in and has made it part of his mission in life to help as many artists as possible.
