Maime decided to dive into the world of construction, knowing full well the misconceptions there are about a woman working in the trades.

She is inspired by the women that she works with every day.

"Starting my career in construction has been amazing and I would encourage any woman with interest in this field to take the plunge and see if it’s for them!"

Mecca’s 20 years in the industry has taught her this about being a woman in construction:

"Don't be afraid to fail or make mistakes. Do what you think is right, do it with integrity, and own it."

We have received inquiries about a construction tragedy that occurred yesterday in Boise, Idaho. The project and company involved are not part of Big-D Companies, McAlvain Construction, or any of our affiliates. We ask that your thoughts and prayers go out to all of those involved.
