Summer is here! 🕶️ That bright sunshine can feel so nice but It can be hard on your hair. Here are my top 5 tips for having gorgeous glowing locks all throughout summer.
1. Rinse your hair with clean water before going swimming. Your hair will absorb less salt or chemicals this way. After swimming, washing hair with swimming shampoo and conditioners can help lighter hair from picking up any colorants and help to remove any extra chlorine.
2. Get a trim! Your hair grows faster during the summer so starting the season with a nice clean look will keep your hair feeling fresher longer.
3. Shield your hair from the sun as much as possible. The harsh rays of the sun can fade color, as well as damage your scalp. UV Spray and Scalp sunscreen can help to limit the damage.
4. Moisturize! Switching to moisturizing shampoos and conditioners can help you beat the summer frizz and repair some of that damage done by the sun.
5. Wear a protective style like a loose braid or a low ponytail. It can be tempting to put your hair up in that high and tight pony but that can cause additional damage. Braids can also keep excess chlorine out of your hair.

🚀 Here are my top 5 tips to make the process smoother and maybe even a bit fun:
1) Give your hair some extra love by using nourishing shampoos and conditioners. This will keep your hair from further breakage and allow it grow out healthy and strong.
2) Use a heat protectant before heat styling. You want to save the length you have from any further damage.
3) Ask me for tips and tricks on accessorizing. There are a ton of ways to make your hair look great while growing it out!
4) A trim every 6 to 8 weeks might feel counterintuitive but it will keep your hair feeling healthy, as well as avoid that mullet feeling. Unless a mullet is what you’re going for! I love a mullet.
5) Don’t give up! This is a process, and it definitely can be frustrating at times. I’ll be there with you the whole time to get you to your hair goals.
