This week has been exhausting in all the good kind of ways. I know why God gives you babies when you are young and full of energy! I woke up this morning so emotional because this ma’am had to pack her girl up and take her on a brand new adventure. We both cried a few tears 😭 So here is to the next chapter of all of our lives 🥹

She is Gone

Today was the last time I am gonna see your name & picture show up on my caller ID.

I know that you are being held in the arms of Jesus. This is goodbye for now, I will see you again my friend 🫶🏻💕

This weekend was a testament to the power of family and love. We were blessed to share it with our adult children and granddaughters, and I’m so grateful for the time we had together. I have to admit a piece of my heart was missing because Shyanne and Dylan were not able to make it.
Our family’s resilience and unity are a source of inspiration and joy to us.We raised our children to be kind, compassionate, and ambitious, and it’s amazing to see them flourishing and making a positive impact on the world. We’re proud to see them embodying the values we hold dear and spreading love and kindness wherever they go.

I am feeling the weight of the exhaustion from the last two weeks. Many of you know that I’ve been walking through the end of life with a friend of mine. It’s been a rough couple of weeks. Up with her all ours of the night praying with her and reconfirming her faith in God. Then when I went on a planned trip to the zoo this last weekend with the girls, I got a call that my mom wasn’t doing well on Saturday. Then on Sunday I was told that she sounded like she had a stroke we came back to town. I was with her in the hospital when she passed.
I also found out my daughter who lives in town was moving. Y’all, my heart was broken 💔 There are so many things happening in my life right now and I am definitely feeling it today.
I keep reminding myself God is sovereign over everything. I am so thankful I can trust God & walk by faith. I don’t know what is gonna happen over the next few days but, it most certainly is gonna be a new season of my life. It feels a little scary and uncertain but I trust God to see me through.

Trying to wrap my mind around going to the funeral home today. For those of you that don’t know my mom passed away yesterday. She is in so much pain. I leaned over and asked her if she wanted me to pray with her. I had done everything I could possibly do to make her comfortable. When I had exhausted my ability, I went to the one that I knew could touch her and bring her peace.
I do not know how some folks make it through who do not go to Calvary as I do. There is a healing virtue that still flows 🥹😭
During the hardest test & trials of my life I have learned to fully lean and depend on Jesus 👏🏻🙌🏻

Healing is such a process…

Romans 15:13
“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”

Have you ever sat in the midst of despair and thought to yourself “How am I gonna make it through this day? “How am I going to make it through the next 86,400 seconds?” “ Is this going to be the trial that takes me under?” “God I can’t do this”

Does any of this sound familiar? I have and, I want to share with you how I have learned to overcome the intrusive thoughts. The first thing that I have learned to do was recognize the lies. Being honest with myself and then being honest with God. The next thing I’ve learned to do is start running those intrusive thoughts through the word of God. And, if what I’m thinking or believing do not line up with the truth it’s time for me to make a choice. Am I going to continue to be in agreement with lies or am I going to confront the lies with the truth? God has not given us a spirit of fear but, of love, power and a sound mind. I am so thankful that he’s given me the Holy Ghost. God gives me grace & strength that I do not have on my own! I am so thankful I am an overcomer because of what Jesus did for me on the cross 😁👏🏻🙌🏻

Hope is what has seen me through on the hardest days! When I have hope for my future it causes me to want to fight with everything I have got in me! I get to choose joy! I get to choose faith. And when I surrender and submit my will and my life to him… it produces peace. Serving God is beautiful to me 😁👏🏻🙌🏻❤️🫶🏻🙏🏻

I am praying for you today friend ❤️

As I sat processing my emotions in prayer this evening I felt such a spirit of peace sweep over me. I do not know what others will do but, there is thing I do know. I will fight my battles on my knees. There situations and circumstances that I’m absolutely helpless, but I know that prayer changes things. God is bigger than any situation or circumstance that we are up against.
This scripture came to my mind & I wanna share it with you

Heart work, is hard work. That’s just the way it is. But, I promise, it’s gonna be worth it if you stay the course. I know the temptation is to run. Don’t run! Face your fears one by one. As you continue to face each fear that wants to hold you captive, you’re going to see, those things you are so afraid of didn’t have as much power as you gave them. And one by one, you will overcome them and, understand the power you had all along. Far too often we render ourselves helpless. You have power that you have not even began to tap into yet. Do not be weak in faith my friend! Let faith arise in your heart today. Let the healing begin. Trust the process. Be patient. Be disciplined. Your victory is on the other side of the things you are the most afraid of.

Have I ever told you about the time that I woke up with a mouse crawling up my hair in the middle of the night 😳🫣😡🤭😅🤣
I can laugh about it now, but that night I was not laughing about it!!! You ain’t never seen somebody come up out of the bed screaming sling in their hair.

Blackened chicken thighs, couscous, and a strawberry spinach/salad with a strawberry vinaigrette. I added toasted almonds and cranberries.

To my husband,
Thank you for being the most amazing father to our children. I have watched you sacrifice for 30 years now. When we were first married you made so many sacrifices for us. At that moment I didn’t realize it would get even better but, boy was I wrong! When you became a father I watched your life transform into the man you are today. As I watched your relationship with our children it taught me what a real father was. Because, not all fathers walk away! You have taught me not all men were “bad”. You taught me that trusting a man was possible. I have witnessed you walk away from things you wanted to provide for our babies. Missed birthdays, anniversaries, Thanksgivings, Christmas’s and many other celebrations because you were working a job providing for us. You worked in the heat, on cold winter days, you worked on that drilling rig when it was pouring down rain, you worked when you were so sick you could barely stand up and you worked when you would have rather been at home with us. “Thank You” seems so inadequate as I try to convey what’s really in my heart today. I love and appreciate you more than I will ever be able to to express to you! We are so blessed that God gave you to our family 😘🥰 Happy Father’s Day Darlin’
