Been in discussion with my divorce ladies group I facilitate.

The topic has been that of "glimmers".
Google says...
Glimmers and triggers are sensory cues that can have opposite effects on the body and mind:
Glimmers
Can be internal or external cues that can help regulate the nervous system and improve mental health. They can produce feelings of joy, calm, and gratitude, and can help people feel connected to themselves and others. Glimmers can come from many sources, including nature, people, and within ourselves. Some examples include:
Admiring a garden
Seeing a stranger smile
Feeling comforted by a pet
Hearing your favorite song
Feeling accomplished

We discuss our glimmers as much as our triggers to be intentional with our own happiness.
Tonight it's a whopping 100° at the moment. I sat outside listening to the birds chirp and my glimmer presented itself.
The cicadas are BACK and in full swing!
They roar back and forth to each other from tree to tree.
Honestly my childhood wasn't the best. A life filled with chaos and craziness... But in all that I could still be on the porch, feel the sun on my face, and listen to the cicadas chant up the evening sky.

The sound is my glimmer for the evening just me, nature, heat, and cicadas.
