There are so many words I could say about motherhood.

Refining, rewarding, constant, overwhelming, beautiful, fun. Some moments I feel like I’m so good at this gig, and the next moment I feel like I’m clueless. My prayer used to be “Help me be a better mom,” but now my prayer is “Lord, help me love them well”. Because it’s not about me or my achievement. They are eternal beings and they are valuable not for what they contribute, but because they are made in the image of God. They are lovely, wild, tree-climbing, living-room-ballet-performing little women. They are complex and funny and smart.

I’m so honored to raise these beautiful little souls. I love my little women. Whether you are a mom of children, or adults, or children in Heaven, Happy Mother’s Day 🤍

Rain drops, heavy and wet, fell from the sky as we climbed up the mountain. Sweat and rain water dripped down my nose as we crossed fallen logs, past trees covered in squishy green moss, and through the quiet stillness of a secluded hiking trail on a cold, wet day. At last, we made it to the summit, snacks were handed out, logs were sat upon, water was had, and we allowed ourselves a moment to rest, one with the rain and the living things in the forest.

The drizzle slowed and came to a stop, as if inviting Caitlyn and Sam to share the words that would make them husband and wife. Vow books in hand, and a quick game of “rock, paper, scissors” down, Sam and Caitlyn shared their vows with each other. The sound of the river rushed below us, and time stood still as we watched this sacred moment unfold.

We hope your elopement day was everything you dreamed it would be. Thanks for letting us share such a special moment with you two. 🩶

That moment when the sunshine peaks through the clouds and hits JUST RIGHT. 👏🏼

Nancy brought along the Bible given to her by her grandmother. The verse written upon her heart highlighted long ago by someone else’s careful hand. It was Ruth 1:16: ”But Ruth replied, “Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.“

Nancy and Michael read and prayed together, talking about their pasts and their plans for their marriage. During their engagement session, there were moments so precious our eyes welled up with tears, and other moments where we laughed, out of breath, stumbling up and down sand dunes.

Nancy and Michael, we can’t wait to see what your future together holds. Thanks for letting us be a small part of this journey. ❤️

When I saw working away on roasted grapes and honey pecan bree and the most beautiful shrimp you’ve ever seen, she looked straight out of a Magnolia Network show, and I knew I HAD to snap a few pics of her and her work. Happy Father’s Day to all the men who have given endless love and care to their children! The world needs you. Your effort does not go unnoticed.

And Happy Father’s Day to Sean, a man who is writing a new legacy of fatherhood for his family, who faithfully reads two books to our girls at bedtime every night, who is the best playmate, who cleans the kitchen most nights, and who diffuses tense situations by offering his underarm and the line “Does my armpit stink?”

We love you more than we could ever say.

Why do we do weddings?

The cake is good, the flowers are pretty, but most of all, we’re believers in marriage.

We love walking with couples through this super important, challenging, exciting thing. Sean and I had some really amazing people around us when we got married, and that made a pretty huge difference. Here for ya.

On a wedding day, we usually like to arrive around two to three hours before a ceremony. This gives us the time we need to capture your bridal details, getting ready shots, and often even some formal portraits, not to mention a first look, if you’re doing one!

Whether we’re capturing photo or video, these things make such a massive difference in telling the story of your day. Wedding days go SO FAST, but don’t worry—we’ve got you! 💍

This is our favorite time of any wedding day. The ceremony is done, you are married, and we step away from the chaos of the day into twenty minutes of deep breaths, belly laughs, and whispered “I love you”s.

We love how our couples prioritize this time together 💗

When I quote The Office, you quote it right back (“it’s probably what I do best”).
When I can’t rock the baby anymore, your arms are there to take over.
When I hit a wall with a project, you’re there (with power tools).
When it’s the end of the day and I can’t be in the kitchen for one more minute, you’re there to wash the dishes.
When I forget how to have fun, you’re there with a joke and a weekend trip.
When the world is heavy, you’re there to help shoulder it.

I’m so grateful that God lets two people become one. It’s imperfect and sometimes messy, but it’s so special. I love you, Sean. Here to forever.
