So many of you have sat in my makeup chair awaiting the arrival of your sweet baby. So many of you have known the pain of loss, the pain of “when will it be my turn”, the pain of the unknown. So many of you are in both of those categories, and I’m just thankful that you trust me enough to share your heart with me for that hour as I do your makeup. You will never know how big of a part you have each played in my own healing from those pains l know all too well. I love that we can cry with each other, celebrate with each other, and laugh with each other. This is what brings me the most joy. This is what blocks out all the noise of everything else - this is what it’s all about for me. I am imperfect in so many ways, and I’m grateful that so many of you keep coming back to my weird self 😂✨

✨ It’s been almost two years of dreaming about the perfect studio space. A creative space that could evolve + grow + embody all the things I love - joy, meaningful conversation, the perfect shade of red lipstick - and a space for you to sit and feel beautiful. A space to laugh or cry or just listen to good music, relax, and get your makeup done. A space to meet about your event or wedding. And a space to share with someone else who dreams just as big as I do and has become one of my best friends - .

When she found this spot, I grabbed my keys, jumped in my car, and by the end of the day it was ours. And we can’t wait to show you what we have planned 🥹 it’s going to be soooo good!

While I didn’t think the time to grow + would be the same time I’d be growing a baby, I’ve never been one to back down from a challenge 💪🏻

WE HAVE A STUDIO! Oh, and it just so happens to be right next door to Reyna’s Tacos 🌮. Some would say coincidence, but I’d say that’s fate 😉

🤍 small business, big dreams 🤍

I’ve been up since 5am + have had two cups of coffee already, so now seems like a wonderful time to share what your support means to a small business owner. Keeping this business and running and growing is the most wonderful, challenging, thrilling, aching career decision I could have ever made for myself. It’s a lot of late nights and early mornings. Being a woman owned small business, in my opinion, makes everything a thousand times more difficult. I strive to be present for my kids and husband when I’m home, so often it means I’m working while everyone else is sleeping. I chose to do this while simultaneously growing a family - many would say (and some have) “why don’t you wait until your kids are older?”. But would you have said that to my husband if it were his businesses? 🫣 {speaking of husbands: I’m so incredibly thankful for mine who equally shares all of the responsibilities of parenting and doesn’t let me give up on these
dreams of mine when I’m feeling like I can’t be enough for it all} I LOVE being a mother. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. But I often felt like I was being bound by expectations of what motherhood was supposed to look like, and running two businesses didn’t fit the “mold”. I do think the world is changing. Women are feeling more empowered to chase after ALL of their dreams, not just one at a time. If you’ve ever sat in my makeup chair and have shared your goals, you have probably heard this from me - “do it.” If you believe in it, do it. If you’re willing to sacrifice for it, do it. Want to be a mom too? You can still do it. I will say it over and over again until I’m blue in the face. If no one believes in you, I will.

So just know that every kind review, every referral, every share of any posts from my businesses means so much more to me than you can imagine. It often fuels these grueling early mornings. Thank you for cheering me on. We all need each other 🤍
