New on the menu this week! Fried Chicken & Watermelon Salad, w/ cucumber, avocado, feta and buttermilk ranch dressing! Also, to get us in the Cinco de Mayo spirit, we have a delicious Roasted Shrimp “Ceviche-style” Tostada, w/ mango, avocado, lime, chile, radish and crema. So delicious!

Spring produce has arrived! We’re relishing Spring’s bounty with gorgeous heirloom carrots, sugar snap peas, English peas, haricot verts and much more! Also, St. Paddy’s Day is this Sunday! We’ve got a great menu full of delicious Irish-inspired dishes. Menu available online!

Roasted Cauliflower Toast! A while back, I had a ton of cauliflower from my garden. Feeling a lack of inspiration on how to cook it all, I searched my always trusted source - Ina Garten. This is the result! A vegetarian version (hers had prosciutto) of her Roasted Cauliflower Toast, which quickly became a favorite. So simple, so delicious and perfect for lunch! Come on in and try it for yourself!

Finally! After two months of remodeling, our sit down restaurant is ready to welcome you! This has been a project in the making for several years (put on pause for a while because of Covid). I didn’t want it to just “look pretty”. I wanted it to be meaningful and to pay tribute to my father’s dream - to offer a variety of elevated, comfort food, in a space that made people feel welcome, as if they were walking into our home. Even some of the colors that we used are reminiscent of the colors we used when we first opened the restaurant back in 1986! We hope you enjoy the new space, and we look forward to welcoming you! ☺️

Our hearts and prayers go out to our ohana in Maui as they face this incomprehensible horror and devastation. Our very own Comforts manager, Kevin Ashton, is a Maui native, and we are showing our support by donating proceeds from every Chinese chicken salad sold this weekend to the Maui Strong Fund, a campaign put on by . On January 2, the storm caused a giant oak tree to crash into our local San Anselmo Co-Op Nursery, causing significant damage. On Thursday, January 12th, Comforts will donate a portion of our sales to the nursery. So, come grab a bite to eat, or take home dinner for the family and help us support this beloved institution!
