If you purchase coffee from the grocery store, it's already stale, because it's been sitting in a warehouse too long before it gets placed on the shelf. Big companies also flash roast their coffee at the same temperature (too high) and tend to burn the beans. Just ask that famous brick and mortar "coffee shop."

Taste the difference, and try fresh, slow-roasted coffee. You won't regret it, and you definitely won't have to add a bunch of crap to it to make it taste better.

This is why I don't put "crap" in my coffee, but most people like their coffee as dessert. If you buy your coffee from the grocery store or a regular ol' brick and mortar ... chances are it's either stale or burnt, and you NEED to add the extra sugar just to be able to drink it.

Drink slow-roasted, fresh coffee and you won't need to add anything!

One Pound of Kopi Luwak coffee, found in Civet excrement, (yes, p**p) can cost upwards of $200.00-$300.00 USD per pound.

Note: Civets only eat the ripest coffee beans and farmers look for the beans left behind in the animal's droppings. Harvesting the beans is done manually and usually only 5 or 6 beans are found with each droppings. As you can imagine, the search and effort of this process takes a long time and cannot be automated. Collecting enough coffee is certainly a labor of love ... or is it?

Once the beans are collected, the cleaning process is equally laborious. Since f***l contamination can result in illness, cleaning the beans in demanding. Beans are washed by removing the outer shell first. Then, they are dried and washed a second time, repeating this process several times.
