Many of us ask what we were doing when we saw the planes crash into the World Trade Center Towers. I remember it vividly as I saw the second plane crash into the second building. I knew we were going to war. It was a day none of us will ever forget.
Today we remember those that lost their lives and those that were protecting us. In a small way, our little coffee company supports those that sacrifice for our country. It is an honor to be part of the Annual 911 Brooks Army Medical Center benefit to help our military families. Dos Perros Coffee Co. is veteran owned and will always support our military in any way we can. Semper Fi....🐕🐕☕❤

September 11th 🇺🇸

When the towers came down, no one was prepared for what lay ahead. Over 300 dogs would be tasked to head to ground zero to search for survivors. Only 100 of these dogs were even remotely up for the task.

Some of the search and rescue teams with their dogs were on site at ground zero for 150 days searching day in and day out. These dogs were not only used as search and rescue, but they became a ray of hope for the firefighters, police officers and rescue teams. A simple moment being able to love on and be loved by these dogs sparked a glimmer of hope in people’s hearts. We were going to get through this.

When it came to searching there were all different sizes and breeds of dogs - from German Shepherds and Golden Retrievers to even tiny 17 inch tall Rat Terriers. These little dogs could move down into the smallest of spaces.

Hundreds of people owe their lives to the working dogs of 9/11.

We do not deserve these animals, but God created them for a reason.
They give unconditionally to us day after day.

Last but not least, introducing Maya the Pug, aka "The Sweet Potato Pug". Her favorite food is.....sweet potatos. She loves to eat breakfast with us, play with humans, and watch other pugs on IG. She has been on TV, in pooch parades, and holds a captive audience at will. She is Perro #2 and does an excellent job representing our company. She deserves a raise but will settle for some bacon instead.
We love each and every one of our dogs and hope that all dogs, some day, find their happiness in a loving home. 🐕🐕☕❤

Meet our Perros...
Introducing Jasmine, our Bluenose Pitty. She was intended for a short term foster and became one of the family. She traveled a bumpy road, one of abandonment & uncertainty. She is now an integral part of the pack and Dos Perros Coffee would not be the same without her. Her favorite things to do are ride shotgun with the windows down then head back home for a treat & nap...its the simple things. She has proven that pittys need less judgment and more understanding. Thank you Jasmine for being part of our little company!🐕🐕☕❤

Meet FLYNN....
aka "The Big Fluffy". A true gentleman with a heart as big as Texas. A more traditional Pyrenees, he is a protector of the pack. Vigilent but gentle , he watches over the group of dogs & chickens that share a home with us. He loves to sneak into the house when your not looking and kindly ask for a treat. A gentle giant that makes our lives a little bit better! We love you Big Boy!🐕🐕☕❤

Meet MAVIS, aka ATHENA...
Goddess of War & Wisdom (well maybe not ☺). As part of the Pyranees 3 pack we adopted, she is sofisticated, sassy, but is 100% total lady. Her favorite things to do: getting brushed, evening strolls in the neighborhood, and barking at butterflys. She brings the "girl touch" to the rowdy pack. Shes a sweetheart❤

Introducing MAX
One of three Pyrenees we adopted. He is the most quiet but has the BEST howling voice! Max enjoys short walks down the street, comfy beds, and relaxing moments. His favorite food is bacon and always thanks you for creature comforts and tasty hot dogs. Dont let his demure nature fool you..he will love you in his own special way! Love ya Max!!🐕🐕☕☕

HAPPY NATIONAL DOG DAY!!
Many people ask about our name..Dos Perros (2 dogs) and how we got that name. We had 5 dogs originally, and just lost 3 grandma dogs, all around the age of 17 years old. Our 2 dogs, Maya & Jasmine became our mascots and eventually our logo. We focused on "dogs" as we viewed them not as pets but as part of our family. Each one giving us joy in their own way. Since then, we have adopted 4 more dogs but did not want to change our name☺️. To celebrate all of our dogs, we wanted to introduce each one. They each play an important part of our family life and wanted to showcase each one for their unique and loving individuality.
MEET RUFUS... our German Shepard that was rescued off the streets of San Antonio. He is a loving, alert, smart dog that is the epitome of Mans Best Friend. Fiercely loyal, protective, and loving. He loves eating, playing with chickens, and getting brushed. His favorite foods are...well just about anything!! 🐕🐕☕❤
