We definitely have talent at SPE. These kiddos got up to sing during their lunch. It was a great and fun day in the lunchroom for our students to show off their talent.

Be sure to participate in the SWISD Summer Superpower Reading Challenge. Read for minutes this summer to earn awesome prizes when you return back to school. Participants can track minutes using the digital Google Form or a paper copy provided by the librarian. As we countdown the last few days of school, we just want to remind students that backpacks are NOT allowed the rest of this week.

Just a reminder there is no school today (Monday, May 27th) in observance of Memorial Day!

🎓✨ Today was a heartwarming day as SWLHS seniors took a walk through SPE halls, cheered on by our excited elementary students! Seeing the young ones look up to their graduating heroes was truly inspiring. SPE was also able to celebrate the class of
2024 at this evenings Senior Walk! Congratulations, Class of 2024! The future is yours.

🎉✨Our 5th Grade Prom was a HUGE success! The kids looked fantastic, danced their hearts out, and made unforgettable memories. A big shoutout to our incredible Specials teachers and volunteers who made this magical evening possible. 🌟🎈

Thank you PTA! SPE PTA has provided each grade level with a $200 Scholarship for our student’s EOY activities.

Big shout out to our Panthers who participated in this weekends San Antonio Sports’ i play! flag football tournament. They worked together with their teammates and coaches to build confidence and self-esteem while learning the importance of healthy habits, self-discipline, social skills, teamwork and sportsmanship.

STEM Showcase 🧪 🧮

Southwest ISD will be hosting a job fair this Saturday, May 18 from 8-11 a.m. at McAuliffe Middle School! All attendees must have a complete application submitted online. To complete an application and see available positions go to: www.swisd.net/jobs

We are planning an exciting end of year FIELD DAY! In order to make this fantastic event safe and fun for everyone, we need several volunteers to assist us with the stations. Volunteers will play very important roles as they will help run activities and help to make this a fun filled day for our students.
